We sucked. Really, really, sucked.

so did the bears. i turned if off at halftime and never turned it back on. at least they scored more than the Jets and held them to fewer points, but thats not saying much. NE is starting to look like a monster of a team.

Brady and Co. are looking damn good.

Sanchez has looked like a rookie the past 3 weeks. Quite disturbing. And Pittsburgh next week.

Hey, boob, dolphins are mammals. ;)

But rubbing it into uber-cocky NY fans trumps all sins. :D

That's the pot calling the kettle black. I just look at this and these bitter losses seem small in comparison.

As a Falcon fan they scare me more than anyone

With you guys pretty much being the undisputed leaders in the NFC and the Pats getting better each game and showing they are the AFC's best, I would love to see a Pats-Falcons Super Bowl.

On the NFL's page if the season ended today, the leading AFC teams are the Pats and Steelers and on the NFC side, it's the Falcons and the Bears. While I see obvious weaknesses in the Steelers and Bears, the other two teams are in control of their own destiny only to lose it, otherwise they are the easy bet to get to the big game, even with just 13 games played. Not that the Pats or Falcons should allow a mess up, but they can afford one where nobody else in playoff contention can.

Right now, the Pats are the only team that would do justice going against Atlanta. Let's see who stays healthy. As for healthy, I think GB is out of this for the season if announcers are correct. I hope their QB gets better soon as this is his second one and concussions happening more than once in a season has taken out players for good.

Hey Jets fans, what do you think about this "classy" member of the Jets coaching staff?

ESPN.com said:
During the New York Jets' 10-6 loss to the Miami Dolphins on Sunday afternoon, the Jets' strength and conditioning coach intentionally tripped Miami cornerback Nolan Carroll as he ran out of bounds on punt coverage.

The rookie fell to the turf while running down the sideline, and the Jets' Sal Alosi later admitted he interfered with Carroll.

Personally, I think the NFL should suspend him for the remainder of the season and fine the hell out of him.

The Dallas-Philly game was classic. I was pulling for the Cowboys and even though they came up short, they put up a great game for a team of their poor record. I think they should definitely do better next year.

I watched that, holy ****! That's desperate for you! Against the ****ing dolphins for christ's sake!
What do you expect when Rex Ryan proclaims the Jets the best team in the league. There is no discipline anywhere on that team.

The last 2 weeks have proven the kind of team they really are, mediocre, who will be lucky to even limp into the playoffs.

If they could barely play the Dolphins what chance do they have against the Steelers and the Bears.

It really looks like Sanchez has lost his confidence. The loss to the Pats seems to have really messed with his head. He's got a chance to step up here and prove to both his team and himself that he can handle the pressure and be a top QB in the league. We'll see what he does with this opportunity.

And Tom Brady, c'mon are you kidding me. He puts up better QB stats in a blizzard than most of the QB's in the league who played in good weather or no weather due to being indoors. That's just insane. If he wins a fourth ring this year then it would be hard to argue that he's not the greatest to ever have played the position.

He has really regressed. This offense is very hard to watch...with the talent they have it's pathetic they couldn't score the 11 points they needed to win that game. The defense finally steps up and completely shuts down a team, and the offense just craps out. It seems like they have no idea what to do when they can't get their running game going.

They need to get over themselves. They are the only ones who believe the crap that Rex Ryan is selling. At first, I didn't mind it. The Jets are losers and have been for a long time. You can't be a winner without first believing that you can be one. There's nothing wrong with confidence, but at some point you have to back it up. I hate the Patriots as much as the next person, but right now they are what we aspire to be. Until they get that monkey off their back, they'll continue being losers. Kind of like the Red Sox in 2004.

They had a nice run to the AFC championship game last year, but they haven't won anything and won't if they continue to play like this.

And the scary thing is they have the Steelers and the Bears in the next 2 weeks.

This is the time for the Jets to step up. They already have a great record and far better than my region's Raiders or 49ers. If they go 11-5, they will likely make the playoffs.

They have been atop of the power rankings in the AFC and I can't imagine them totally self-destructing at this point. If they don't make the playoffs it can also be because other teams had a great second half of a season, too.

I still see a chance for a team few have been following to take the AFC but it's likely going to be a team who held a great season record thus the need for at least an 11-5 season. Early pressure has been on the Jets and the Pats and we will have to see who finishes strong. That being said, the Pats could lose the rest of the season and still get into the playoffs. If any team in the AFC could mess up late in the season and still do well in the playoffs, it's the Pats. Many of the playoff bound AFC teams have great weaknesses outside of the Pats so Jets have to at least get the wild card.

Look at who is in the playoffs if the season ended today. What a freakin' joke the AFC is. If the Jets can't get past the likes of the Ravens, Chiefs, and Jaguars, then they don't deserve anything this year. The Steelers are the only other team to have a better record in the AFC, but they look beatable.

As for Brady being the best? Yes he's among the best of Super Bowl winners.

But the best QB overall would mean he has to throw for many more yards and TDs. I still consider a Montana or Marino as better overall QBs considering how differently football was played then and refs were not as hard on Ds in some ways in the old days. Then you also have to take in Tarkenton, Graham, and Bradshaw and how well they did under the circumstances they faced. Even current QBs Peyton Manning with his records and Favre could be considered better by some if you look at overall numbers.

What Brady has going for him is his 3-1 Super Bowl record and his high QB rating.

It will probably be impossible to call any QB the best ever the way some say MJ was the best ever in basketball or the Babe or Ty Cobb were the best ever in baseball. If Brady gets the 4th ring, and retires with a rating higher than Steve Young, then maybe we can call him the best, even with far fewer TDs and yards than some others, or the fact that Brady never blew out the opponent in a Super Bowl. Let's see him throw at least 4 TDs in a Super Bowl.

I guess we can say the Jets, Bears and the Packers have fallen to the wayside now

NFC
Falcons (11-2) and Saints (10-3) appear to be playing the best ball
Eagles and Giants are capable but the others look done

AFC
Patriots (11-2) and Pittsburgh (10-3) are above the rest
Who else is even scary right now? Ravens?? Jags???? Chiefs???? Bolts????

I wouldnt count out the ravens with that d. I think clear cut pats are the nfl's best team right now and the elements dont bother them. I think if no one takes away their home field advantage. They are marching right into the superbowl. That brady guy is a assasin. I think nfc side. saints, bears, eagles , giants and falcons can beat the pats if they all play their game if they get to the superbowl. My giants better beat old man farve tonite and green bay next.

He just told AP he wasn't going to play. He also said he isn't likely to play to former coach Mariucci. Injuries.

Yeah right. He just wants to come in and surprise the press coming in to play "injured", again.

But if he is really injured, then he should sit out the game(s) and get better. The health of him and the rest of the NFL is what is more important than how many games you play in a row, or how many tackles you make, or any other statistic.

Favre has nothing left to prove, and if he did, is it worth messing up that throwing arm even more? If he wants anything, it should be to get better and finish the season vs. get reinjured and end his career.
