Jason Taylor to the Jets seems so weird, after the guy totally trashed the organization and its fans... and publicly stated he hated the Jets lol. I wonder how the fans react to him. Lets hope he has a good season otherwise it could get really ugly. I think he even lashed out at the New York media once lol... should be interesting.

He did indeed.Trashed them pretty good. $3.75 mil for a year of a diva with not much left in the tank..Two things you can tell from that signing:
Jets are going for it this year
It's an uncapped year. The NFL should contact Hasbro and use this for it's logo..

As mentioned above, the Jets are going all out this year. Hell, they fell one game shy of the SB. The fans will love him the first time he puts a QB on his ass. Fans at Jets board seem to like the move.

The Jets will be the media darlings this year..Major market team, one win away last year..Not to mention, they've got prime time action:
Rex Ryan on prime-time heavy schedule: "The league is smart"
In 2009, Jets coach Rex Ryan wasn't bashful about doing his best to talk big in the hopes of propping up an underdog team.
Now that the Jets are a frontrunner, he'll be more careful about what he says, right?
Wrong.
Asked during ESPN's schedule-release special for his thoughts on a slate that features five prime-time games, Ryan said, "I think the league is smart. They're not gonna put just an average team on prime time. They know what's up."
Love him or hate him, Ryan and the Jets will be one of the most intriguing teams in 2010.

Now the question that follows..Will the Jets be the real deal this year? Or will they be the 2009 Falcons or 2008 Browns..Teams that crapped out after a great year. Pressure is on the Jets all year..Will be fun to see how they handle it.

Being a rams fan, I'm we excited to see who we draft. (hopefully Bradford)

Being a rams and nebraska fan i hope that the rams realize they are so bad right now that even peyton manning couldn't get them 10 wins. i think bradford is the best of a weak class of quarterbacks. if i'm the rams im taking ndamukong suh #1 then picking up colt mccoy in the 2nd round. it's very possible that no matter what who you pick you will end up in the same position next year, then they can draft jake locker!

Argh. Still don't know what to think of the tebow pick. If mcdaniels can still fill the holes on the team with the other picks, i won't mind picking up tebow.

It's funny with the new draft schedule, fans have more time to whine, pout, and implode over what their team did in the first round.

I'm happy with the Eagles first pick. They have a lot to fix, so it's a start. I'm still wondering if we'll see a trade somehow of Vick for a position they need to fill.

Now on the Broncos, receiver, good. QB? They have 11 quarterbacks. Watch them trade up and draft McCoy or something. They'll get Plummer out of retirement and find Bubby Brister somewhere too. They'll carry 17 QBs, and just play 10 on defense on every down.

Rams fan here too! With names such as Brees and Aikman being associated with Bradford, I'm excited for the season to start. Second round, Rams will probably look for WR or DL help. Need to stock Bradford with weapons and got to replace Leonard Little on the left side. If they go WR, they're probably looking at Golden Tate (maybe even pull a surprise like they did with Avery over DeSean Jackson) if they're deciding on DL, perhaps Everson Griffin from USC but I don't think there's value there for him.

Yeah, because that reach worked out so well

Elsewhere from the draft, I am enjoying the Brady Quinn Jimmy Clausen free-fall.

No doubt that DeSean Jackson is a stud but I can't write-off Donnie Avery at this point. In his rookie year, showed signs of being a stud. Considering numbers, Avery and Jackson had similar numbers and then consider Jackson had McNabb at QB and a better overall team.

I say they might go elsewhere because I don't know if the Rams want to stack their WR core with just speedsters that aren't that tall. If Bradford is as accurate as analysts say he is, perhaps the Rams should be looking at a bigger/taller WR. Can't wait for round 2!

All personal biases aside, Tebow was one of the best big-game players and team leaders in college football history. That said, as a professional prospect I thought he left much to be desired. Heck, the guy just overhauled his entire throwing mechanics a mere couple of months ago. It boggles my mind that the Broncos would pay as high of a price as they did to get someone like Tebow. Like someone said, they will either look really smart in a few years, or they will look really bad.

As a Dallas fan, I was extremely excited to see them get Dez Bryant. I thought it was smart moving up to get him. They need a receiver opposite Miles Austin and Roy Williams isn't that receiver.

I think that was the main surprise. If you want to take Tebow late first round, fine but when they released what Denver paid for him (2nd, 3rd and a 4th?), that's overpaying for him big time. It reminded me of what the Browns did when they made a big splash in the first round (coming back in for Brady Quinn). I thought what Denver was clever, stock up on draft picks, but then they turn around and spend all that for a project QB. I guess time will tell. McDaniels should know that he isn't Belichick, you just can't pick up guys and expect them to pan out. Broncos don't have that supporting cast yet.

Great value for Dez Bryant getting him that late. But I really thought they were going to go T after releasing Flozell Adams. But regardless, good pick given player/position. Hopefully Jerry has another plan to protect Romo.

Judging by the Patriot's offensive ineptitude last season, it's not totally unfair to say that Belichick should know that he isn't McDaniels.

I don't know. The Patriots weren't that bad. They were still top 5 in the league. I hate the Patriots/Tom Brady (Rams fan so...lol) but I'll give them the excuse that Tom Brady wasn't back in shape and Randy Moss decided to not to show up (guess he took an extended stay on Revis Island?). They probably won't get back to where they were in the 16-0 season but with Moss, Holt, Edelman (assuming Welker isn't back 100 percent) I expect the Patriots to put up some points still. The AFC East will be the division to watch.

I was wondering why Kindle fell out of the first round:
Texas linebacker Sergio Kindle surprisingly didn't get selected in the first round Thursday.

Now we know why.

Several teams had Kindle off their board due to medical issues, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Chip Brown of Rivals.com writes that Kindle's knee was a "serious" medical risk that could require microfracture surgery.

Kindle also takes medication for narcolepsy and ADD, although we doubt those are major issues. Kindle is known for his football intelligence, but his durability risks was too great for teams to take in the first round.

At some point in the second round, we think the risk of his injuries will be worth the reward of his considerable talents.

I think Kindle might go somewhere late second round. A lot of teams on the backend of the second right have LB needs and would be more appropriate given medical issues and would be appropriate value.

Possible microfacture surgery will keep a lot of teams away. I'll be curious to see where he ends up going.I think Buffalo made a solid pick with Spiller. I think you can officially say Lynch is on the trading block..

I'm seeing perhaps there might be a a potential trade? If the price isn't high, there could be a few teams that could use a second RB? Houston could use a RB and so can Seattle but I think the off-field issues is hurting Lynch and you can find RB's easy in the draft.

Hmmm, Tim Tebow to the Broncos. They either just pulled the steal of the century or wasted another first round pick.

Being a Tebow hater.... I like to think the later..

I am surprised the Lions didn't take him, they are good at blowing picks.

You beat me to it.... Can you say, 8 Wide Receivers in a row with nothing to show for it! Ha... could be off on the number but the point is taken....

I am too, being a Michigan fan. Brandon Graham is the man! :D

I am to.... but I would have love to see him go to any other team outside the NFC East... Especially not to the Eagles/Redskins/Giants! :D

It's quite possible:
The St. Louis Rams can spend today negotiating with potential 33rd overall picks, and they can also spend today entertaining offers from other teams for the first pick in the second round of the draft.

If they decide to trade the pick, two of the teams that are interested are the Cleveland Browns and Buffalo Bills.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that the Bills and Browns have already contacted the Rams about acquiring the 33rd overall pick. Both teams want to draft a quarterback, either Jimmy Clausen of Notre Dame or Colt McCoy of Texas.

Jason La Canfora of NFL Network, however, reports that the Bills are not inclined to trade up. The thinking in Buffalo may be that either Clausen or McCoy could fall to them at pick No. 41, or that there's a quarterback they could take in the third round or later who can be developed into a starter.

Ultimately, even if the Bills aren't inclined to trade up, the Rams are going to have some very good offers from teams that are -- probably offers good enough that when the 33rd pick is announced, it won't belong to the Rams

Just read the report on ESPN. I don't think the Rams would think twice. Trade down and potentially get Everson Griffen later for better value and of course more picks because they obviously need more.

Hopefully something like that happens sort of what happened last year, Rams were lucky that Laurenaitis fell that far.
