All three of KC's picks have been SEC..
Pats up next..Hope it's a DLineman
Rather have had Dunlap on the Pats. They need an edge pass rusher.

Yup, looks like they went with Carlos Dunlap. Perhaps they can finally replace Seymour as their pass rusher.

Dallas replaces Flozell Adams with this pick.

EDIT: LOL WOW. On the bright side, Penn St. is Linebacker U! Does Dallas have someone already in place to fill in for Flozell Adams?

Pats took Cunningham,Bengals Dunlap..Cunningham would project to an OLB on the Pats..No way you're playing down lineman at 266...

My mistake, picks happened too fast. Yes Cunningham will play standing up @ 266 for the Pats.

EDIT: WOW. Ravens making AWESOME defensive additions! First Kindle and Now Terrence Cody. WOW. That middle is just downright scary!

Jesus ESPN. Enough with the shots of Colt McCoy looking pensive. No one gives a damn.

this makes me believe that maybe McCoy was overvalued? I mean we're reaching the backend of the second round and he's still sitting there. And people wanted the Rams to potentially draft him in the second round?

Ravens got some beef on the D line...

You're thinking, Ravens defence is getting old and then they pull this! Baltimore going to remain scary on D for a very long time! Baltimore is looking like the most balanced team on the NFL. Very young and talented offense which can put up points and a defence that remains beefed up!

EDIT: Does McCoy finally get picked? Perhaps this will be the end of ESPN's coverage of McCoy? LOL

Cle traded up..McCoy?

Makes a lot of sense. We've been discussing how Holmgren loves QB's and Browns don't have one so...

EDIT: Or not...lol Never heard about him so I can't say how it fits with the Browns. Oh man, has to be rough for McCoy. Pre-draft, he was talked about going early, we reaching the end of the second round and it doesn't look like he's going any time soon...ouch.

Just by taking a glance at who's picking to end out the second round, Everson Griffen still available and the Rams should be all over that to replace Leonard Little. That would be outstanding value. Griffen projected to go early second round but falls to the third round? As a Rams fan, I would be EXCITED! Chris Long on one side and Griffen on the other? A lot of potential right there!

Maybe not..RB?Maybe Seattle
Someone take McCoy so that I don't have to see him or his family looking stressed anymore..

HAHAHAHAHA! Interesting. I forgot that Seattle needs a QB. Maybe McCoy finally goes?

EDIT: HAH NO WAY! Yes, the Rams have to go with Griffen now. Golden Tate was an option at WR but now that he's gone, DE should be the next need. Sorry man, the McCoy family stressed for another pick...lol

EDIT 2: NYJ taking Griffen?!? NOOOOOOOOOOO...

EDIT 3: YES! Griffen is still on the board!

EDIT 4: I was thinking Bruce Campbell to the Colts but since the Patriots are up next and already getting their OLB and TE, they take Campbell?

EDIT 5: WOW two Gators. Urban Meyer really is buddy, buddy with Bill Belichick.

No brainer here, and I will be surprised if it isn't...Bruce Campbell here to protect Manning.

EDIT: hahah ok...Am I the only one who thinks Peyton could use a more solid o-line?

EDIT: Nice pick. Saints love them USC players...which means the Rams get Griffen, if not, I'm going to go crazy.

EDIT: WHAT!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?! YOU NEED A DE AND YOU GO DB?!?!?!??!?? IT STARTS IN THE TRENCHES MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Didn't take the Jets long to shake things up. Hours after selecting Vladimir Ducasse in the 2nd round, they cut 9-time Pro Bowler Alan Faneca. Faneca played well most of last year but really tailed off at the end.

Bye bye Jamarcus Russell:
Jason Campbell says he'll be the starting quarterback

The Raiders have wasted no time letting Jason Campbell how they feel about him.

They quickly extended his contract through 2011, and Campbell spoke to Al Davis after the trade was completed. Campbell believes his new role on the team is clear.

"I feel like I'm going there to be the starter," Campbell told Rich Eisen on NFL Network.

We're not surprised. The contract, not to mention Campbell's talent and production, makes him the heavy favorite to start. We also wouldn't be surprised if Tom Cable says there will be a quarterback competition, even if it's tilted towards Campbell.

The only question now is how long JaMarcus Russell stays on the roster. The Raiders are expected to ask JaMarcus Russell to take a pay cut, according to NFL Network's Mike Lombardi. Russell is on record saying he wouldn't take a pay cut.

Just three years after getting taken first overall in the 2007 draft, JaMarcus Russell could be on the verge of getting released.

No way he's a backup at 10/mil per..What a bust..

It's unfortunate for Raider fans. It's not that JaMarcus Russell just didn't make it, he should've never been drafted 1st overall. All he had in college was a rocket arm and having that just doesn't make it in the NFL. Also, he didn't even make an attempt at getting better. Jason Campbell is definitely an upgraded and Oakland should win a few games this year. They also had a very decent draft considering what they did in previous years.

So, who took over control of the Raiders? I've watched the draft for years, and of late you know when he's calling the shots.

This year, the picks were semi-intelligent. As an NFL fan, I want the Raiders to be a strong franchise again. As a Broncos fan, I want them to suffer horribly. :D

Never understood the Russell pick. That was a real head scratcher. No way was he going to be a franchise QB. Their D isn't that bad.McClain will certainly help..If McFadden gets his out of his arse, they could have a decent team. As long as Cable doesn't go and knock out anybody..The Raiders are always "fun" to watch, esp the locker room..

Edit:
This guy likes playing with fire:
Roethlisberger hired bodyguards after having a gun put to his head

In an eye-opening segment on Sunday morning's Outside the Lines, the network that initially ignored for multiple days the first allegations of sexual assault against Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, several intriguing facts and contentions emerged.

For starters, the report focused on a claim Roethlisberger made to ESPN The Magazine a couple of years ago that he decided to hire bodyguards after someone pulled a gun on him. A friend of a teammate, speaking with the 60 Minutes-style darkened face and altered voice, said that one of Roethlisberger's bodyguards explained that the gun was pulled by the boyfriend of a girl to whom Roethlisberger was talking outside a bar.

Meanwhile, former Steelers running back Najeh Davenport and former Steelers safety Mike Logan talked about an incident that occurred in the locker room in the season after the team's victory in Super Bowl XL. Linebacker Joey Porter, in a speech that Davenport described as "powerful" (like, we suppose, the odor from an uncontained turd in a clothes hamper), called Ben out for doing his own thing and going his own way -- and for being the last guy to arrive at work and the first one to leave.

ESPN's Kelly Naqi also did some sleuthing as to one of the most common local complaints regarding Roethlisberger: that he behaves like an ass in public. Citing workers at local establishments who requested anonymity, Naqi reported that Roethlisberger has a reputation for being "demanding and condescending" to staff, and "rude" to customers.

So as the Steelers, unable to get what they wanted via trade, now forced to try to rehab the situation, it looks like they've got their work cut out for them, both in the locker room and beyond.

Art Rooney must be rolling over in his grave...
