i'm not going to slam someone in their 20s, which I'm not, because they want to play the game.

Younger kids seem to enjoy it but teenagers did not enjoy it much at all around here. Most of the people playing were in their 20s or early 30s.

I personally think Apple should put the screws to these companies that get such viable stage time with promises that you don't fulfill. This is not the first time it's happened. What they showed on stage was at the very least late stage alpha software if not beta software

Ah "fake news" with the cancellation. I must say this fake news is rather annoying.

I'm waiting until it gets warmer before I start Pokemon Go again. Besides, it has to compete with Pokemon Sun and Moon (certainly one of the best games I've ever played. And I've played a lot!). One of the best selling games in its history and its full price too.

The watch app is a classic example of how to NOT manage a software product. They clearly bit off way more than they could chew by trying to cram too many of the phone features in to the watch app. Version 1.0 should have been merely a notifier that tells you something popped up (so pull out your phone to play), and a step counter. That should have been released during the summer. 3 months after their demo they still have nothing on the market. I could have started from scratch in September and finished a 1.0 product by now.

What will finally be released for the 10% of former players who haven't abandoned the game will be a half-ass, buggy, slow monstrosity. This is based on how they have ruined the phone app, which is some case takes 30-40 seconds just to start up.

Never purchased it, neither flappy bird or Mario run.
Only interested in apps that are good use of my time and not a waste of time.

I think the biggest issue of the game is there's not really a social feature. I wanna compare stats with friends, battle, and trade!

Pokemon missed their chance. They've lost the majority of players and no update they make now will bring the majority of them back. Should have put more money into rolling out updates right away, rather than waiting so long.

This is actually something I've been eagerly waiting for since September, and I can't believe there hasn't been a peep about it since the keynote until now.

Can't understand what's taking them so long, and now that the decent days are gone and I'm much less active during the cold, my interested has waned. Then again, this is the company who chose to release their product to dozens of new countries while it was still a completely buggy (and sometimes unplayable) mess.

Yet you will read a news article about it and post in a forum about it. Real good use of your time.
it helped put me over the line and i picked up a S2 watch because of it. I'm happy even if it just does steps and helps hatch eggs. That's more then enough for me.

This felt a lot like bait and switch... the main reason my wife wanted an Apple Watch was for this game.

The fad died already, 4-6 weeks after launch. Now only the true nerds remain, and even truer nerds will use it on their :apple:watch.
On the contrary, many people I've seen in the wild playing are girls and working class, hardly the nerds. The nerds are bored already since their bot accounts were banned, and returned to their potty mouthed online FPS or MOBA games. This is a casual game after all.

More like the number of players have normalized now. Majority of the "players" before were just bot accounts.

I'd say they should develop the friend battle/trade systems rather than make an Applet on Apple watch.
p.s. For "i-don't-play" people, I acknowledge that you don't play.

I am still holding out hope for an Apple Watch App for Ingress.
