Somethings definitely wrong here... I can't believe the Aston Martin Vanquish is popping up, it has an interior that's shamed by a mid range Mondeo... which is surprising considering they're essentially the same bits and bobs. :p

It'd be easy to name drop some exotics, but I don't think you can go wrong with a '56 oval window VW Beetle myself. :) feels far more special than any luxo-barge being produced today. ;)

I also love the attention to design and detail in Nissan's Pike car duo... the Figaro and the PAO.

Another job, for a car dealership this time, got me drives in a Honda NSX, Merc. S600, BMW 850, Merc. SL (in fact all of the BMW/Merc./JEEP range of the mid 90's) also got to be driven in a TWR XJR15 by a F1 driver :D
A friend of mine works for a dealership that sells: Volvo, BMW, Audi, M-B, Infiniti, Lexus, Acura, Nissan, Porsche, Maserati, and Bentley. I've considered applying there myself :D

I have a friend who is Prince of Iraq, and I have ridden in his bentley continental GT, his Aston Martin DB9, and my dad's work colleague's McLaren F1 (top speed 250 mph)(fastest road car ever)(three front seats)(my face melted). Oh, and a mayback.

Coolest (to me) cars I have sat in,

Ferrari: Enzo, Modena, Super America, F430
Lamborghini: Diablo, Merluciago, Gallarado
Porsche: Carrera GT, 911 GT2
Maserati MC12
Bugatti EB 16
Aston Marton DB9, DB7, DB7 LM, and Vanquish

Many more, but these are "off topic" anyway :D Being a member of Automotive media has its perks :)

A Ruf CTR is probably the only thing besides women that gets me aroused.......I am obsessed with anything Porsche. My dad has an old 914 that he bought when he got his first job. And later bought an 80's 911. The 911 for how old it is, is sickly fast, corners like it is on rails, and it's not even the Turbo of that year. It's a little 3.2 liter engine that gives new definition to "slam you back in your seat." It scares me a little when I'm in it, because it honestly makes you feel like if the cops were chasing you..........you could get away, any car like that should not be legal, but they are and when i have the money, i will be buying one, old or new because i know how amazing of machines they are. I could not even begin to imagine what a Ruf CTR would feel like.

I'd love to get a original 356 Apple Red, or Porsche Silver, as like my everyday drive to work car, and then a 911 C4S as my weekend "fun" car.

Not the most comfortable but the best fun (this side of a Ducati) was a 1972 Lotus 7. And my mate's 1973 TR6 PI.

Most recent "nice" was a mate's SL500, last week.

My favourite "back to basics" car was a 504D - lousy acceleration but nicely balanced on dirt roads and tough (survived several kangaroos even without a roo bar; also survived 15 years of Aussie rural roads  )

Unexpected pleasure was a T5 Caravelle. Slow, but spacious and comfortable.

Most hooning (from NZ US dictionary ... hooning: "playing about, verb form of hoon") fun was a '77 Caprice Classic Landau 350ci (I think) in Kuwait [edit: I don't think GM ever intended these to be desert machines]. And my mate's Ramcharger 400ci.

Strangest was an Aussie (factory) built MK3 Cortina with a 4.1 straight six. I shudder even now.

My aunt and uncle are very wealthy, and aside from having a large secletion of cars (BMW 750Li, Jaguar XJ8, new Ford F250 every year or two, some classic cars including a Datsun Z, Lincoln Town Car, and his "beater car" which is a 2004 Lincoln LS) he knows many wealthy friends who also have beautiful cars. Because of his "connections," I've had the chance to ride in a Rolls-Royce Phantom for a day when in Florida, a "test drive" of a CL65 AMG, and a ride into Boston in a Bentley Continental, and many rides in Mercedes S-Classes and SLs.

I also have ridden in a 2003 911 Turbo, as some friends of ours down in Conneticut have one (they also have a S500, BMW M3, a new 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and a slightly "older" (I think it's a 2002) Audi A8. Mind you, the kids cars are the Audi and Jeep, and they are both in highschool.

Aside from that, my other cousins/aunts/uncles have plenty of nice cars, including Audis, Mercedes, Jaguars and a Lexus. I should also say I've been in a 2004 Lexus LS430 to 145 MPH on the highway...

nothing really out there but i flew in a private jet once that was cooll....from what i remember...

Am I the only one who doesn't think that Porsches look very good? They might be good cars, but I'd never buy one just because of looks. I don't think they're ugly, but if I were to go all out on a car, I'd go for something with style, like a Maserati Quattroporte.

Wow,..... how is it that so many people around here are so rich?

Could be that people kind just thought to themselves "Why bother?" after seeing the first few posts (XJ220, Enzo, Diablo, 911, etc..) ;)

The nicest thing I've sat in probably a Toyota Supra turbo 90-something model, owned by a friend. Don't have a licence, so I've always been the passenger. Not much, but whatever. I've sat in some really nice buses though :p

The nicest thing I've ever SEEN been driven around here, where I live, is some Porsche. There just isn't a lot of 'exotic' cars here.. climate may have something to with it (living at ~70 degrees north).

It gets better if you live in the sourthern parts of the country.

In the nicest way possible that Maserati looks like a whale, don't get me wrong i love Whales

nicest? that's a tough question.

first car memory: age 5-riding in a split window vette( my friend's parents had his & hers split windows, how cool was that?)

most formative: age 6 squashed w/ my brother into a triumph spitfire where an older friend gave us an absolutely wild drive on rain soaked streets. powerslides, high speed hand braking, donuts-i became a speed junkie that day.

fastest: RUF twin turbo porsche.

worst: busted for doing over 140mph in my 911s targa.

haughtiest: rolls royce S3 formerly owned by rita hayworth & aly khan.

classiest: concourse mercedes 300sl gullwing.

profitable: street racing a friend's 1969 hemi charger in high school.

other notables: bmw M1, 1959 porsche cabriolet, scarab, dirt track sprint car, 429 cobra jet torino, maserati merak & ghibli, 308, testarossa, 512bb
and a 1955 studebaker president( a gift from gramps ).

I drove a Ferrari 355 Spyder in July. It was part of a work presentation and we were running two of them down a drag strip (Santa Pod). I managed to nail the 1/4 mile in 12.62 seconds. :D

Sat in some amazing cars really, from Mike Tyson's McLaren F1 (before he bought it it was on show in the McLaren dealers formerly on Park Lane) and for my 13th birthday many years ago, my dad arranged for me to be taken the 13 miles to school in a Lamborghini Diablo. That was very, very cool and blindingly quick. Got a few stares when climbing out of that one at the bottom of the school drive. Amazing day!

EDIT: BTW, for all the car lovers here, if you haven't seen it check out www.wreckedexotics.com.

Here's one example of a screwed Enzo. Ouch!

I was in a Honda Odyssey that passed a Continental GT once.

On the right.

On a highway...

Anyways, the McLaren F1's claimed top speed is 241mph, with only one turly "front" seat, as the passengers sit to the sides and rear of the driver, and it's spelled "Maybach".

One time in NYC we rented a Limo, it was a stretch rolls, I have pictures somewhere. It was a couple years ago. It was a beautiful vehicle. I've also been in a Lincoln and a Cadillac.

Ummm...
My Dad has a Discovery, my Mom just got a Touareg (i would rate it an 7.5/10, better than her X3). Those are decent cars. My grandparents have a C-240 and an 325xi (older style). My other grandparents have a Explorer Eddie Bauer and a Lincoln LS (ford people...:(, not very nice cars).

My friend's dad has a qx4 and his mom has a E-Class Wagon.

I guess I haven't ever ridden in a REALLY nice car other than the Rolls.

Best I can do is my grandpa's Lexus. I think it's ES300, something like that, one of the cheaper models.

Nicest car I touched was a Lotus Elise. Closest I came to driving that was reaching in and touching the steering wheel and shift knob :D It was on display at the mall and you weren't allowed to sit inside :(

Hmm, actually, on second thought. The nicest car I've touched may have been a Nissan Skyline at an car show. You certainly don't see those in the states too often. I guess it depends on what the nicer car is, the Elise or Skyline. I'll take either :D

My neighbor's company is awesome and like lets him use Audi's for like 2-3 years then trade up, so for the past year he's had an Audi A8...that is like a hotel on wheels ...

hmm well ,, some cars of my friends ...

-2005 Hummer H2
-2004 Mercedes SL500
-2003 Porsche Carrera GT3
-2003 Bmw M3

Also

-2003 BMW X5 3.0
-2005 VW Touareg V8

and some other old porsches,jags,bmws..etc

my list is nothing to stunning but i still like these cars:

1. BMW 850 (to young to drive, passenger)

2. BMW E30 M3

3. BMW E36 M3

4. BMW M Roadster (Z3)

5. Audi RS6 Avant

6. Audi S4

7. Audi A6 2.7T

8. Ford Escort XR3i Cossworth(passenger I was to young to drive)

9 VW Golf GTI (MK1) (passenger to young to drive back then)

..and now every day i have to go some where i get into one of the most beautiful designed cars.

my Audi TT Coupe 225 quattro

Either my Dad's A4, a Corvette, or my uncle's Caddy. My uncle's Caddy is probably worth most out of the bunch, as he was an upper end executive at Chrysler, but it was an old man's car, and it was on the way to a funeral.. so that kind of killed the whole experience. The nicest car of the three would probably be my dad's A4. It's super.

Great cars!

I never thought one of my cars would make the list! VW Golf (Rabbit in the US) GTI MK1 :)

We never got the RS6 Avant here in the states, That would be the BEST SUV Killer, would totally take one of those over any Porsche SUV. :p

My relatives have some nice cars. I can't think of what they are at the moment though
