The End.

Shot on an iPhone 7 Plus using a third party app. One example, people have shot movies with budget camcorders in the 90’s I.E Blair Witch Project and others. Why are there no more titles shot entirely since iPhone 7? Please elaborate unless this specific project called for using a phone due to its perspective, I guess Apple and you proved it, Hollywood is going to replace they RED cameras for iPhone 11 Pro Max

Quote from one of your previous posts (https://www.indiewire.com/2018/03/movies-shot-on-iphones-unsane-tangerine-shorts-1201941565/)

“This week sees the release of Steven Soderbergh’s first foray into iPhone filmmaking, with the psychological thriller “Unsane.” The movie joins a growing list of films — shorts, features, projects actually financed by Apple, and those made specifically because of the frugality of the equipment — shot on the smart phone.”

Who needs the like of RED cameras when we have such hits on AFV shot on phones and camcorders o_O:eek::p

Isn’t it great a successful movie can be shot by leading director on an iPhone? The talk about red cameras is a deflection. According to your (fallacious) logic, any director that doesn’t use a 3 million dollar IMAX camera is cheaping out.;)

Those movies were financed by Apple re-read my previous response to your comment.

RED to my knowledge did and does not pay directors to use its cameras or has created a name for itself through proven reputation. Directors use IMAX cameras for the screens it will be projected/viewed on for its debute and intended effect. Directors do not use IMAX cameras for direct to video titles. Unlike your skewed beliefs directors use the best tool to capture their work regardless if the script is junk.

If what you are saying is accurate we would see non-Apple financed theatre titles released, this is not happening for a reason. Will indie directors experiment possibly, some do but the majority don’t. Just because something is capable does not make it de facto.

4K handheld cameras are available long before iPhones had the ability and the only use case was for certain shots to portray the scene.

Stop making it sound that directors are adopting iPhone 11 Pro’s for they work and recognize that Apple is a marketing company first and by the sound of it you are completely immersed.;) :p

The financing angle, along with the red angle is just another deflection, to not admit you posted a blunder on an online forum.

Stop making it seem red is the only equipment that can be used to film a movie. if I’m immersed in apple’s marketing, you own stock in red.o_O:p

If the last link was actually read, the director is an acclaimed American film maker. Seems that was all but ignored in the haste to post hyperbole.

Interesting so you are disregarding the financially funded fact as a deflection. Yep I am sure if any other Android hardware producer financially funded a director to use they equipment to make a short or a movie it would be biased.

Are you making random claims as to what stock I own. For the record I don’t own RED stock, there goes your implication that I have some financial gain to my claim. :p

I do own some Apple stock and that is not relating to iPhones, so there go that argument ;)

Seems like you are deflecting by claiming he is an acclaimed American director, I don’t care if he was an indie director from any other nation in the world.

What I ask is that if the iPhone 11 Pro Max is so good, has or will Apple have directors use it for any of it’s AppleTV + shows, if not then yes you have been immersed in they marketing. It is a dangerous mentality to just follow anything and everything without critical thinking. To claim I made a blunder on a public forum is just another indicator for you to satisfy your ego.:rolleyes:o_O;)

Your premise is completely and utterly wrong and now you’re moving the goalposts and making personal comments?o_O😂

moving the goal post, interesting I am pointing to a valid concern due to conflicts of interests and bias, and your response is move the goal post. This is directly from the linked article you provided I pointed out a concern to counter your skewed perspective.

it’s a forum and every members comments are “personal” unless the cover is off and you are actually a company in question employee.;)

Just an observation however from your multitude of comments concerning anything Apple your support is positively towards anything the company does, not sure you have noticed.;)

Can’t even stick the goalpost in the ground anymore it’s broken.o_O However, I don’t see any conflict of interest or bias. Filmmakers have released commercial films shot on iPhone. Directly from linked articles describing the projects and directors.

Sure, I’ve noticed a pattern with some posters with regards to positive and negative feedback.

But I’m going to concede this point as there is no real cogent discussion to be had. It’s clear filmmakers have used an iPhone to shoot commercial movies, don’t understand why it’s seems to be impossible to acknowledge.
