I have a 100 mile challenge for the month of August, taking invites

Hey! I saw the challenge on Nike Plus...I signed up. 100 is over my monthly pace I think, but I'll see what I can do. This will be a challenging challnenge for me...as I think my pace is probably about 15 miles a week, not 25 which would be needed to fill the challenge. Maybe I will tape the sensor to my dog!!

I sent you an invite when I saw your email addres.. it is well above my pace too. I am an ex runner who is trying to get back in shape.. so I am hoping my daily walks and every other day runs will hit my goal. I had to start taking my asthma medice again.

So in a week I should have the proper amount of cingulair and advair in my system to get my endurance back up. my whole body likes the 7, 8 min mile pace, but my lungs keep failing me

Ah, so the Americans get Lance and we get Paula? Can Brits get Lance as an option?

We Brits get Lance as well - not sure whether it simply alternates or whether one is for distance and one is for speed, but I've had congrats from both Paula and Lance now after my runs. Pretty cool stuff.

meh. i've run with my wallet, i've run my iPod mini (fairly close to the weight of an iPod video), i've run with a lot of stuff throughout the course of my life. running with my video iPod isn't terrible if I'm doing moderate speed cross country stuff. so is it possible to hack around and make this work with my 5G?

Flowbee, you got some nice shoes. I love my saucony's! They're so light:)

do u think if you have a pc that if u go to your ipod on my computer, then to ipod control then to device and then to system info and paste the code from an updated nano where the code for the ipod video is that it could trick the ipod into thinking it is a nano with a bigger harddrive and the nike software would work? ill try and see if it works

I'm going to be buying a Nano as soon as they update them. I'm also getting the Nike+ kit. I am about to buy some new running shoes and was wondering if it would be worth it to spend a little extra and get the Nike+ shoes or just tuck the sensor under the laces or somewhere else? I am either getting some Saucony shoes that cost $60 Saucony or the Nike+ shoes that cost $85 Nike+. Is it worth $25 extra for this or should I just go with the Saucony?

You should buy the shoes that give you the best support and are most comfortable for you. That should be your main focus. I recommend going to a store that specializes in running shoes and trying some on.

Adding the Sport Kit is an after-thought, as it works equally well with Nike and non-Nike shoes.
