Nintendo has a hoard of cash on hand larger than most people realize. They can "fail" for the next few decades and never be in danger.

I think it's either through existing networks via Facebook or Twitter, or "face to face" which would be someone you interact with non-virtually to add

Face to face will go great for me, I'm literally the only person I know who's even interested in Nintendo. Bloody philistines, that's what my console owning friends are :D

Very true, you don't get to stay in business for over 125 years without accumulating some cash. Or without knowing what you're doing, that's not to say they don't make colossal mistakes of course *cough* virtual boy *cough*

Mistakes happen, it's whether or not one learns from them that is important.

"How to fail in business after your consoles have flopped" by Nintendo.

Typical fanboy drivel.

I have faith in Nintendo, they may drop the ball from time to time. But they come back with a big sack.

But then I'm a Ninty fan. Don't get me wrong I don't just like Nintendo, I've got 40 something consoles that I've owned from the 70's onwards. But I've got all of Nintendos systems, bar the virtual boy, it was never released over here.

Despite popular opinion I actually love the Wii U (not so much the Wii) it's got loads of great games. And I may well be in a minority, but I like the controller. The screen was a great idea, I can play my Wii U games while the wife watches her crap on the telly without me having to leave the room. And I find it works better than remote play from my PS4 to my Vita.

Not really into the Nintendo games of the last decade. Ive been a Nintendo fan since before the 8 bit NES, and would have happily purchased many of their classics remade for iPhone. But then, that hasn't happened yet. You can't blame them for trying, and doing rather well over the last 30 years... not to suit all users in more recent years.

Just curious - have you tried them? Smash Bros 4, Mario Kart 8 are the best games in their series. Mario 3D World and Galaxy are great fun too, after Mario World they're my favourite in the series.

Same! It's a great console. I can see why it didn't sell, but as ever Nintendos own output on it has been phenomenal.

Yeah, I think a lot of my generation who grew up with every Nintendo system still buy them just for the first party games, they rarely disappoint.

Don't get me wrong, as much as I'll buy any system Nintendo makes just for their first party ip. I'd love for them to pull their head of of the sand, realise that the demographic has changed a bit and create a powerful, easy to develop for system with a better online infrastructure to pull in third parties and to put up a proper fight against the other two.

I'm fine with the traditional Nintendo gimmick, a lot of gaming standards have been born out of Nintendo gimmicks. But they need to take controller input as seriously as they did back in the day. My dream controller would be a smaller, lighter, affordable (so we can buy more than one) better configured version of the Wii U pad. Say what you like about it, that screen has some advantages and I'd love it to be a standard feature.

I like my PS4(I've had all of those too) but I'd love to see Nintendo return to the glory days. A chap can dream :D
