God sends Elmer Fudd to 2000 A.D. to when smell-o-vision replaces television

This is just device to add smell to the Apple TV :)

Tim Cook on stage: And one more thing...

Jony Ive: At Apple, we've made a device that's so complex yet remarkably simple. We've painstakingly created what is undoubtedly the best vaping device in the world and we are calling it iVape. We went to great lengths to ensure the experience is as seamless as possible.

From the home button to return iVape to its default settings to the ergonomically shaped mouthpiece, everything was conceived with ease of use in mind. We sampled over a 1000 people's mouth to create a mouthpiece that doesn't drop out of your mouth.

We've milled the enclosure from single solid piece of aluminium and sand blasted it so that it's smooth to the touch. It's powerful yet remarkably thin. It also comes in Jet Black and Black to reflect the state of your lungs.

The iVape is the ultimate expression of vaping. I think we've created a whole new benchmark of how vaping devices should be made.

It's amazing that the general consensus seems to be that smoking is stupid because it kills you, but vaping looks stupid and that's even worse. This matter-of-fact attitude about vaping does nothing but aide the anti-vaping legislation being pushed throughout the world. Perhaps if it were more commonly seen as the highly effective and comparatively safe means of quitting tobacco that it is, fewer people might die of the number 1 cause of preventable diseases each year.

But yeah, that's not to say this would be the right product category for Apple to enter.

I never thought they could make smoking look more stupid. Then vaping came....
Smoking regularly is stupid, but I wouldn't say it looks stupid. Unfortunately, it looks pretty cool if it's a cigar(ette) and not a vape thing. Though some crowds think vaping looks cool too.

Or just neither smoke nor vape except on rare occasions, and don't get addicted to it. Problem solved. Also, where is vape ever limited more than tobacco? There are no anti-vaping laws I've heard that neither apply to tobacco as well nor have a tobacco counterpart.

Would've been wrong target audience. I think people who vape use Windows Vista and a Blackberry or Windows phone.

Dear Dr. Phil,

I vape. I vape a lot.
The problem is I really hate using Windows, even tough I am a .NET developer. But I tend to use windows in VM. My main operating system is MacOS, but I tend to use a lot of Linux distributions as well.

What is wrong with me?

P.S.
I've kissed my wife a week ago, and now her period is late. Is she pregnant?

Best Regards,
M.

The point is, it's nowhere near as harmful as tobacco according to current research, and therefore shouldn't be subject to the same or comparable laws. That it is seen as such, is harmful both to consumers looking for an effective means of quitting smoking, and to the cottage industry of vaping products that stands no chance of competing with big tobacco companies under restrictive legislation. And your solution to simply not smoke or vape often enough to get addicted is not only asinine, but dismissive of the billions of people around the world who are already addicted.

Vape culture is just plain weird, but I think that's the aim. They want something like punk culture that's deliberately made to be difficult to understand.

The point of the laws are:
- People still don't want there to be vaping in areas where it's bothersome for similar reasons to tobacco's, like in restaurants. It's still potentially harmful to those around you as well.
- It's still harmful to the user, and we don't want people who didn't smoke before to start vaping.
- Nobody trusts vape devices yet because they're new, they remember that tobacco used to be considered "safe."

Since the laws are at worst the same as tobacco laws except maybe if the battery is somehow an issue, someone addicted to tobacco can vape everywhere they smoke. What's the issue?

And yeah, I'm dismissing them because those people are dismissing the health risks. They just don't care enough to stay away from it, their choice. Same as all the Americans who drink soda as a replacement for water. To be fair, in most cases, it merely shortens your lifespan, so it's understandable why some don't care, but at least soda doesn't permanently ruin upholstery in cars and buildings.

You are comparing drinking soda to tobacco? What are you smoking?

BTW, who says soda shortens lifespans?
