Wait, really? They used to include an awesome cleaning cloth with older Macs.
Yeah lmao!!! Just to be safe it has a compatibility list aswell so just be sure to check that before you buy one 😂
I guess as a temporary work-around at least for soft cases like neoprene sleeves you could probably just use one designed for the old 2019 16-inch MacBook Pro, since the old and new 16-inch MBP appear to have almost the same form factor: https://www.macrumors.com/2021/10/18/new-16-inch-macbook-pro-vs-previous-generation/
and the 2019 fits in a sleeve that fit a 2012 15" MBP, with room to spare for my Samsung Tab S7 in a Samsung book cover...
Actually - that sleeve MAY have been for the 2013 15" Retina, but the 2012 squeezed in...
it’s probably the one benefit of not haven’t a launch day delivery… you have a bit more time to search for a sleeve/bag…

I think I would like something slim and I think I would prefer something without zipper…

And most of the sleeves I have seen so far, are missing just a tiny little bit to fit… don’t know how „true“ those insides measurements are….

I'd been looking at Waterfield for a little while (actually didn't hear about them until the AirPods Max came out and they released a very nice carrying case that I still want but haven't purchased yet). Ordered the horizontal black with piggy back and carrying strap for the 14" and 16" M1 variants. Hopefully I can cancel the size I don't end up wanting next Tuesday, before they ship.I have ordered one of these for my 14"

Nothing for the 14” either. I guess I’ll need a cheap sleeve until I can get a shell.

I'm happy this one exists at least, but I want a fully closed case with a zipper, ideally (splash) waterproof.
Like, if some spills a cup of coffee over my MacBook while it's in its case, I want it to be fine.
Yeah I'd prefer a zipped, waterproof sleeve similar to what you're describing. I ordered the neoprene sleeve in the interim because it was only 40 bucks and I need something to protect my computer whilst its in my messenger bag (which doesn't have a dedicated, padded laptop section). In the future as more accessories come out I will look into different sleeves similar to what my current MBP uses.

I’ve been spending all too much money since discovering them a few months ago…
They are a great company with great products. I have their sleeve for my 2019 16" made out of suede. They discontinued it and now have the neoprene. The suede one still fits the new 2021 16", and it is so thin it serves my purpose perfectly (putting the MBP in may carry on on a compartment). I cancelled the neoprene for now. Every product from Waterfield I have owned (and I have several) are excellent. They Customer Service is also excellent.
