I would love to get the Waterfield Outback Duo but this $229 bag shipped to UK ends up being $386 with shipping and taxes. Can anyone recommend a similar bag in the UK please.

If you have pre-2016 sleeves, you can remove dust from them and use, till it will become more clear with newer sleeves and their compatibility :)

I've tried out the following two sleeves and they both fit the new 16-inch MacBook Pro well even though they weren't specifically made for it:

I stuck with the former of the two, because it's water resistant and looks nicer in my opinion. Note that both of these sleeves contain a thin layer of memory foam on each side, so they aren't as slim as a sleeve could possibly be.

Highly recommend ordering the MacBook 14" and 16" sleeves from Joli.

The sleeves are very premium, durable, and hand-crafted precisely. The sleeves are the best in the game :)

I personally ordered posted below. Good luck!

I’ve had a few from them in the past. I did love them.

I've just ordered my new 16-inch Macbook Pro, but I wonder: Aren't there any cases or sleeves for the new Macbook Pros yet?
Amazon stocks a wide assortment of fine padded cases for MacBooks or any other laptop in assorted sizes.
Their prices are a fraction of what Apple will charge if and when they provide one.
I got a very nicely padded case for mine with two additional zipped pockets that provides all over padding for laptop and zip pocket contents,

The only hardshell I can find is this one to pre-order.

I got that same one but got it in Clear Matte.

It's odd that there are no official cases yet. Even 3rd party companies are rolling these out slowly.

Sorry, don’t know about the UK, but the duo bag is outstanding. I went thru a dozen bags before settling on this one. Got in the canvas/leather and I can’t say enough good things about this bag. With tax and shipping it came to right around 300. This bag is worth every penny and more. The strap alone could set you back 50 anywhere else. Feel free to ask questions since I have used the bag extensively since getting it.

I'm really confused as to why anybody would spend $100 on a sleeve that doesn't even have a zipper or velcro to cover the open edge.

It’s the premium leather, hand crafted and the durability of the sleeve you are paying for. Also, the sleeves seems to be very portable. They also nicely secure the MacBook since it’s all hand stitch all around.

Sure, but the majority of them are s h i t and/or don't fit any specific laptop at hand very well, because most of them are made for a general machine of a certain display size.

What I (and pretty much every other Apple customer) want is a case that fits my particular MacBook precisely, and then it's already getting a lot more difficult on Amazon.

1) the only durability sleeve need to have is to next laptop, as next one will have slightly different form factor anyway.
2) I can show example of the sleeve for 8 bucks which survived 5 years :)
3) premium leather protects laptop not better than bunch of much much cheaper materials :)

so, reason for buying those are in very different plane. And it doesn’t mean they are wrong. They just in different plane.
I also have expensive leather bag made of premium leather for the cases which ask for it. but mostly it is lying in the corner of my study unused :) And for majority of use I’d prefer decent and simple portrait orientation envelope with magnetic locks made from thick felt.

Was looking around myself and came up empty handed. I would guess most will release sometime early - mid December based off of some of the pre orders that have popped up on Amazon. Although im surprised Apple didn't have anything with the launch considering they tend to have at least on or two options for most of their products ready to go.

But this magnetics locks can destroy your internal electronics :)
Really???? So I never should bring MagSafe in the same bag with laptop?? ))))))
Strong magnets could be a problem around hard drives. But now all apple stuff is full of string magnets.
