OMG you actually buy an iPhone to join in with the crowd, not for what it can do? 🤣What other people think of what phone I have is the last of my worries.

You literally have to wait a few more months, hardly a life changing scenarioThis is disappointing for those of us who don't want/need the premium phones at the premium prices.
Usually people just say they’re switching to Android. After my 14 Pro Max bites the dust i'm buying a dumb phone.
Not buying it. iPhone 18 series will be released this September.
Can someone translate this to 20th century English for me?
Got you covered.
“The base iPhone 17 is an exceptional device! It is much better than the competition. It inspired me to purchase the base model for the first time in years. I feel comradery with fellow base iPhone 17 purchasers”.
Right, I get that. But day to day people do get confused about product naming/numbering and will likely be confused why there's now an iPhone 18 Pro but not an iPhone 18, especially when Apple has a tradition of continuing to sell last year's model at a discount. They will just go to the Apple Store and buy the phone that costs $600 or $800. Day to day people don't search the web for latest Pro phones
Not at all what I was implying, you must have a hard time understanding what people are saying.OMG you actually buy an iPhone to join in with the crowd, not for what it can do? 🤣
The iPhone 17 and 17e are going to remain on sale at low prices.I suspect this is going to be confusing for consumers who are used to annual announcements. I can already see the ragebait headlines about how Apple is raising the price of their phones and ignoring people who want/need a more affordable model, especially if one of the announcements is a $2000+ folding model
Speak for yourself. Mobile PCs in the iPhone category are only getting a huge step up very much in need for annual iterations of improvements indefinitely with their upcoming foldablesHonestly I would support this. No need for a new phone every year even pro models
Don’t forget new iPad pros with magsafe. 👍It could one really long event.
iPhone 18
18 Pro and the foldable
New Apple TV
New Apple Watches
New HomePod, including the new Homepod with the display
Don’t forget new iPad pros with magsafe. 👍
I don't know... I sorta see them dropping the base iPhone and going with this lineup:Only if that doesn't mean a downgrade from the current base phone though. I actually think the iPhone 17 is the sweetspot whilst the 17e cuts too many corners.
"Great" for Apple -as they get some manufacturing efficiency out of it, but let’s be real: plenty of people who usually wait for September will just jump early and go straight for the Pro models anyway - especially in the US with the trading's and installment plans.
