Has anyone even seen the displays? Is there a possibility that they are using higher quality TN panels? Not IPS to be sure, but perhaps there was a panel switch we havn't seen yet.

Apple already uses excellent TN panels. I think the next upgrade is either RGB LED backlights or IPS.

Bad Apple for that! If they added IPS i might be selling mine, but the specs are almost the same

High or low quality, TN is TN, with inferior color accuracy, narrow viewing angles, and inconsistent color from top to bottom of the screen.

your entirely post is ignorant. I choose to be in touch with reality, not live in what ifs. I do agree though the macbook pro would be a lot nicer if it had an IPS display.

I wish not to argue the MBP would be better with IPS what computer wouldn't?

Webster Dictionary

Ignorant - : lacking knowledge or comprehension of the thing specified

Yet no one has knowledge of the thing specified, beyond what has been provided by a large company. As state earlier ACD are IPS yet isn't marketed. So because Apple Inc. doesn't tell me its IPS means its not? Sure its unlikely, but declining the fact that it could be true is pure stupidity. If you haven't noticed anything can happen.........

haha the wonderful IPAD sarcasim noted

if Ipad can have an IPS display why not a macbook pro? I can't wait to see what HP does with the Envy 17", if they can crack the battery and run hackintosh, i'm buying, this was going to be my 1st mac, but the arrogance by apple is unbeleivable, they are going the way of microsoft.

i am willing to pay if what your'e getting is top notch, not inferior crap with a good battery life, most people i know, plug in their laptops. 3+ hours on a train would be sufficient,
