I don't wanna be 'that guy' but please don't use Adblockers
I contribute enough of my time watching youtube videos with my phone where I am forced to watch ads. They don't need to waste my time twice.

If ads weren't as annoying as they are, fewer people would use Adblock.

Chrome doesn't require dGPU. But when running WebGL, it tries to use dGPU. For regular use, including Youtube video, it runs on current GPU, even it's integrated. I simply use gfxCardStatus to lock on integrated GPU. Even WebGL runs fine.
what is the model of your macbook pro? I use gfxCardStatus too. It shows chrome requests on discrete card as soon as it starts. Mine is an early 2010 macbook pro running osx 10.9.

My model: Mid 2012 MBP with Retina Display.
But I don't really think it's model dependent. Perhaps your web sites with some particular contents that trigger Chrome to activate dGPU. If you start with blank page, you might be able to pinpoint which web site it's.
Attached is a screenshot when I was wring this post in Chrome. You can see the gfxCardStatus drop down menu.

When you run a page like that, especially on a major site like Fedex, you should report the URL and issue to Apple via their feedback page. Remember to mention that it works fine in other browsers.Safari is my go to browser almost all of the time, until i hit fedex.com
For some reason whatever they are using for form generation absolutely murders Safari without fail. Chrome, and firefox handle the site just fine.
I like Safari, but I don't like how it completely reloads the page when I click back, instead of loading the cached version like FireFox does. Normally this wouldn't be a big deal, but when I browse forums and Reddit, it's quite annoying.
Anyone know how to solve this?
It usually doesn't reload, I've noticed certain extensions cause this to happen, most notably the adblock extension.

I've disabled Ad Block for Safari and it really had no effect on the frequency of refreshes, it was the same.
For me sites like reddit always refresh every time I go back if I have adblock enabled, and if I disable adblock it never does. Some sites seem unaffected though, for example on these forums I don't get any refreshes going back/forward whether or not I have adblock enabled.
Some of it might also depend on the website, perhaps some websites cause it to happen for some reason.
EDIT: It also seems to matter whether or not you use the swipe gesture or the back/forward buttons. I hadn't noticed this yet since I always swipe. I discovered when using the back/forward buttons it does indeed always refresh whether or not adblock is enabled, but with the swipe gestures it doesn't, and the swipe gestures are the only one affected by the adblock extension.
For me, the gesture doesn't matter, it reloads either way. But FireFox simply reloads the cache even with AdBlock enabled. Is this extension made by the same person for all browsers?
I would like to use Safari for its battery saving abilities, but this quirk will make me continue to use FireFox.

Mine doesn't either (see sig).
What you can do, is start Chrome like this:
open -a /Applications/Google\ Chrome.app/ --args --gpu-switching=force_integrated --ignore-gpu-blacklist
If that works fine for you, you can package it as a small app using Automator, which you can then use to start Chrome from your Dock or where you start it from.
Under all previous versions of OS X I always felt the need to install another browser to supplement Safari. For a time being both Firefox and Chrome were my go to browsers. However, under Mavericks GM, Safari seems by far and away the best it has ever been. Smooth scrolling, low cpu usage, lightning fast loading speeds, low memory usage with multiple tabs etc etc.
Anyone else having significantly improved experience with Safari under Mavericks GM.
Very encouraging... are you on a retina macbook pro by the way? I am asking mostly about that smooth scrolling thing, something that rmbp suffered on Mountain Lion safari.
Then don't be and go away.I don't wanna be 'that guy' but please don't use Adblockers
Yes, I'm on a 15" rMBP. Safari is working perfectly for me, including scrolling.
