Yeah, I'm more convinced than ever that the keynote will focus on things specifically of interest to the Asia/Pacific market. I'm still thinking Apple Store Tokyo, but only because that's the most obvious thing. They'll probably see a release candidate (or nearly so) Photoshop 7, which is cool, but not really important enough to justify a webcast.
Somehow I'm imagining mostly a rehash of MWSF, but somehow involving musical numbers with cute fifteen-year-old girl pop stars. Could be I've watched too much imported TV, though.

Just for reference, the rule of thumb I use for converting times across the ocean goes a little like this:
From the West Coast, the time in Japan is seven hours ago, but it's tomorrow.
Conversely, from Japan, the time on the West Coast is seven hours from now, but it's yesterday.
This doesn't account for daylight savings time (to my knowledge there is no equivalent "summer time" for JST). So in the summer half of the year, use eight hours instead of seven.
So, a 9:30am keynote in Tokyo on Monday will be at 4:30pm on Sunday, PST (or 5:30 PDT). And a 9:30am keynote in San Francisco on Monday will be at 2:30am (or 1:30am from April to October) on Tuesday, JST.
Really, I hate time zones, but I would be remiss in my duty as a nerd if I didn't know how to do it. On a related note, I once tried to explain the word "nerd" to a friend from Nagano, and found it surprisingly difficult. "Otaku" doesn't quite cover it, because otaku are really kind of a subset of what we in the US would consider "nerds." Anybody know of a good equivalent expression in Japanese?
