No notification sound on the new iPhone Facebook App

Hello All,

The soundless notification issue does'nt seem to be affecting Facebook only. I have several other apps that don't play any sound nor vibrate when a visual notification pops up. Such as Draw something, Ruzzle, TvShowtime.. Which used to work fine!

What I don't understand is that even after a full restore I still have the problem. I don't believe it's hardware because no apps would push a sound notification, but some do.

If only Apple could do something for us..

Ok so apparently they FIXED it!!

-Go to the facebook app on phone
-Go to Account Settings
-Go to Notifications
-Go to Mobile Push
-Look at the top of the screen and it said "Sound for push notifications"
-Edit it to ON for all notifications

They fixed it I now receive sounds for notifications!!!!!

Tell people that are having this issue please

It is a bug which probably has been fixed I found the below answer on apple's site see if it works for you

That happens to me but I have mine set so that it doesn't make any sound when I get a message. But yes, it still vibrates and on FB while you are in the app it will make a sound and vibrate. If you are not in app, then it will just vibrate. It that's what you have it set to.

Yeah the part about it still vibrating with all notifications off while within the app is rather annoying.
