I used a screen protector once many years ago. That thing lasted a few days before I ripped it off.

I laugh at all these people that have butt ugly screens on their beautiful iPhones because of some crappy old screen protector.

I never use a screen protector any more and I've not once regretted it. It's very difficult to scratch the iPhone screen.

Is it easy to put a screen protector on curve glass?

This is my concern... either the protector has to curve round the edges, which would be a bit difficult for glass ones... or, they won't extend to the curved screen edges, leaving a slight lip that will be annoying on your fingers as you swipe from the curved edge.

I'm truly jealous of everyone who doesn't need a screen protector. I treat my phone well, but if you're in the green industry, well, soil particles are unavoidable, and the iPhone screen just isn't too fond of them.

I've never needed a screen protector in my life and I've had my 5 since launch two years ago and still spotless. Screen protectors make any phone look hideous anyways.

This is what I thought.

I'm thinking that it won't be curved thought, due to some of the images I see on the manufactures website.

Good points.

So it won't reach the edges of the phone, that definitely means it won't feel natural when swiping left/right with a screen protector on.

Well. With a glass one for sure. You'll still have edges. And it might *look* funny having a edge of glass sticking up from the screens curved area.

Smooth protectors might work still however

I think I'll start with a plastic protector for now, then move to glass once I see reviews and actual photos.

Unless they start releasing glass ones with curved edges, which TBH would make them much easier to align and apply!

Yeah I've not seen any glass screen protectors myself, I'll stick to the plastic ones for now I guess.

Not that many plastic ones are out yet, I guess most manufacturers are working on it as we speak now that they have the dimensions.

I've ordered the spigen film ones which should be here next week. I'm hoping they wrap round the edges.

Zagg has a glass screen protector. I have it on my HTC One M8 and will probably put it on my 6 Plus, as long as it fits really well. Got tired of the film type protectors with bubbles and edges peeling off. I saw the Glass at BB and tried it. It's a bit pricey at $40, but much better than the films. I know it seems silly to put glass on glass, but I have OCD about any minor scratches on the phone screen. Can't get past that.

I have the Zagg Glass screen protector on the iPad Mini w/ retina and think it is awesome(but expensive). I would consider putting in on the IPhone 6 as well, just for piece of mind.

I haven't used a screen protector since my Sony PEG-NR70.

I've used screen protectors the whole time I had my 4S but I'm beginning to doubt their necessity. When my mom went to the Apple Store to buy one for her 5C the sales rep specifically told her it's a waste of money and I'm beginning to see that in how nasty they get over time vs. a naked screen. I'd rather get a sturdy case with lay-on-the-table protection.

I for one am glad that Apple didn't use sapphire glass for the screen. The price of the phone would've been a lot higher. Also, I've been using a screen protector that came with a Switcheasy case 3 years ago and it's protected the screen on my phone well.

I'll use a plastic one. I know how to put them on flawlessly and they're cheap. I don't use a case either.

I am not buying the regular screen protectors for the 6+, the screen protector that will cover the round edges is coming out in a week or 2.

Tempered glass is the way to go, it has a much better feel than the cheap plastic ones and I actually prefer it better than the stock glass. I highly recommend the Spigen Glas.tr series if they make it for the new iPhone.

The problem with the glass screen protectors being used on the iphone 6 is that the screen protector is flat and rigid. So the screen protector won't reach all the way out to the edges because it can't follow the curved contour of the screen. It looks bad. Had this issue on the LG G2 and ended up just throwing it away. That's a bummer, because the glass screen protectors are clearly superior in feel in my experience.

I've been using an invisible shield since 2010 and loved it. But I don't think i'll be using one for my 6+. Not sure how it would fit with the curved glass anyway...
