you may have already encountered this bug, but since the original High Sierra update sometimes (every 3 or 4 times) after I power up my 2017 iMac, there is no sound (YouTube, VLC, Spotify, etc) at all for about ten minutes. I recently found out that if I quit coreaudiod in Activity Monitor, sound immediately comes back. What may cause this problem in the first place? Have you heard about problems like this?
