Don't believe the reps. The mobile app shows which stores have stock and there are a few around me that still have aluminum series 2 watches in stock.
BB's mobile app doesn't seem to show me stock. They do claim if I order now it'll ship 9/28. Not sure if I believe that.

Looks like apple stores are showing stock now. For the one I want, 2 of the stores near me have it but I'm going to wait to see if my preferred store gets it.

What model did you want again?

I'm pretty sure I am going to get the 42mm silver aluminum. I have checked the other aluminum options as well (steel grey, rose gold) and seen those as well. I'm not too sure about 42mm which is one reason I'm tempted to go to a store.

And I checked availability again, those 2 stores no longer have it but a store fairly close to me (20 min drive) has 42mm silver aluminum now. So yeah I'd just keep checking the store availability to see what pops up.

I'm not convinced that the Apple Store stock is accurate online. Every model I check in every combination in at least 10 cities, including major cities, shows as unavailable.

I was just able to secure a 42mm Space Grey Series 2 from Best Buy in San Diego. Used the "Pick It Up Today" option until I found a store that had it, then called the store (they had 1) and drove down. Unfortunately you can't do personal pickup to secure it before you go.

I don't even see a 'pick it up today' option on BestBuy.com for the Series 2.

Then no watch for you!

Well considering local Apple stores have been showing some inventory today and looks like there is a way to search inventory on Best Buy and I have a AW 0 and I have a AW 2 Nike on order, I'm not too worried.

I was in Best Buy for something else and thought I'd ask, just in case... Not only did they have stock but they had 3 SS Black 42mm! Several other models too...

Well... but what are the chances of having in stock when a customer drops by...
It would be great to be able to at least now with certain accuracy if they have in stock at a particular moment (that is... a number...)

They show it online, you just can't select for in store pickup. If you select pickup today after searching "Apple Watch Series 2", the website will show you the models in stock, but its probably best to call and confirm your selection and know they could sell the stock before you get to the store...

BB had four 42mm SG sports series 2 in stock in OK City. Stopped by one today while traveling through. Now they have three!

First Apple Watch, pretty happy with it so far!

I was able to snag myself a 42mm SG Sport from a Best Buy in Downey, CA today. I believe there were only 3 stores out of every Apple, Best Buy, and Target in the Los Angeles metro area that had the 42mm SG Sport in stock today. Crazy how hard it is to find them.

I, too, found a 42mm SG and 38mm SA at Downey using the Pick It Up option on BB's website. I also saw more Series 2s at the West Covina store earlier this afternoon

Ahh yeah I did via the Pick It Up option. The other 2 stores I saw it at this morning were Torrance and Lakewood. I don't recall seeing any for West Covina but probably updated after I last checked this morning.

This is so frustrating and ridiculous. I've tried my local Apple Store every morning, Best Buy and Target. Not a single watch available. It's clear that Apple made so few watches and that this is not a demand problem.
