How is that at all relevant to the question of when the 2010 models will be released?
When that thread was started it was understood that Arrandale would not be appearing until the Q4 2009-Q1 2010 timeframe.
Now that the chips have been released, the update will obviously happen at some point in the near future.
I think what is "sad" is that the gentleman that started that thread seemed to have a legit reason/position to wait for the Arrandale processor (but I haven't read it in a while, so maybe I'm wrong). The rest of the people that have gotten caught up in that have debated or prolonged purchasing a really nice piece of hardware because of the chance of a better spec'd machine. It's one thing to buy one a couple weeks or a month ahead of a known refresh date. It's just getting plain silly for the same people waiting around since last spring to still be arguing this point.
And as someone earlier in this thread pointed out - the i7 in the Dell machine requires massive cooling and is much larger physically. I don't see Apple reversing course on their "greenest laptop line ever" stance by throwing in hardware at the cost of reduced battery or something that would require them to physically change the design of the unibody. Guess we'll all see in the next 1 - 90 days when the refresh occurs.
