No walk in stock - Apple Stores UK

Popped into my Apple Store today (Exeter) and the guy I spoke to in there confirmed that (for that store anyway) there would no iPhone 7s for walk in tomorrow. Only for those that ordered for in store pickup.
There were no Jet Black Plus's available for in store pickup for me so I'm guessing that store won't be getting any at all initially.

This is what I'm holding out for. There'll be new deliveries to every store every day from 17th so if you get onto iReserve quickly at 6AM there's every chance you'll get a phone.

Just about to try John Lewis and Apple Store Milton Keynes to see if they have anything in stock to get going with, if not, I seriously have no major must for this as my phone works just fine.. Just want the new one for the sake of it!

Well London Covent Garden was a waste of time... queue was massive and slow moving. Even with an Appointment I gave up. Staff said there was little chance of being able to swap models. Best chance is to wait and try tomorrow or after.
 
No Black 7 Plus stock anywhere this morning. Which is odd cause a guy in the store told me he was cancelling his reservation for one and the Apple store guy said it would appear in the morning. Unless I just wasn't quick enough. I'm hanging around until 6:46 just in case, but I'm not hopeful. They had loads of 7 stock though, every colour and capacity apart from Jet Black.

No that link is for all store stock. Just to prove a point, I checked pick up options too for a standard order. Everywhere is out of stock.

They're still out of stock. The link I gave you is if you want to reserve one to buy on the Upgrade Program. You can either do it this way and have them change payment method when you pick it up, which you can do easily, or go to the regular ordering process at 6AM and see if they'll let you make an order for pick up. But both sites show the same store stock and, FYI, the regular pick up site didn't even come up this morning so you would have missed out had you been waiting there.

Ah ok cool. Thanks mate. I want a 128GB Jet Black 7. So looks like I'll be waiting until mid October at the earliest.

There were a few Gold and Rose Gold Plus units hanging around this morning, mostly 128GB from what I could see. They went relatively quickly.
 
I've setup a small script that checks Apple's availability feed and sends me an email – it also generates an RSS feed which is checked via IFTTT and will send me a push notification when stock becomes available.

Happy to share if people think it will help.
