I can't see the Mini in this, I see the Air 2 and the iPhone 6 feel IMO. Without the chamfered edge I can say it my be inspired by the iPad mini at most. square, chamfered, and rounded edges on a rectangle can only look so different from others.

This might just surpass Samsung. Foxcon is going to get very confused!

I have to believe this will force a Lawsuit.

Tired

Macrumors anyone? Why do these things continue to penetrate this website?

i get so tired of the incessant whining whenever something is shown on Macrumors that is not strictly a Mac (or other Apple product) rumor. Do you people REALLY not want to see these related articles? Would you really rather have LESS content to read on here? It's not like other articles that meet a stricter definition of Mac rumors are being left on the table because of these related articles. It is very simple really. This site is a BUSINESS. They make more money when people click more. Hence, the related articles. And second, there are simply not enough true Rumors to provide enough content. So if an article doesn't interest you, don't read it. Simple.

That is one hell of an inspiration.

Apple should let them be and not give Nokia the exposure they are looking for, i really want iPad competition to happen but not like this.

I saw a tablet sitting on a table a couple of days ago that I actually thought was an iPad mini, but I checked for logos and found that it wasn't. "But dude, Apple can't patent the rectangle!"

Also, Nokia is just licensing their name. They aren't making this at all. They didn't even design it.

Yes they did.

In addition to the Nokia brand, Nokia is licensing the industrial design, Z Launcher software layer and IP on a running royalty basis to the OEM partner.

The N1's industrial design and Z Launcher application originate within the Nokia Technologies business, which is focused on strengthening Nokia's industry-leading innovation portfolio through patent, technology and brand licensing.

You do know that if everyone started behaving so rationally, the internet would explode, right? I mean like literally blow up. Everything from server farms, to telephone poles, all the way to our computers would immediately catch fire and burst apart. The shockwave would level thousands of buildings. Wifi routers would turn into flamethrowers, shooting little streams of napalm like fire out every which way. The death toll would be catastrophic. Property damage? Unimaginable.

The internet was built to channel all the anger and immaturity of society. If it falls below a certain threshold, the whole thing will go haywire...

...and we'll all die. O_0

It's quite possible that Nokia has been working on this design for a while before Apple made the new ipad public.
