NON-Apple Leather Cases - Patina Proud Photos

Since the mod decided to delete posts (I think it was very useful to be able to compare Apple with non-apple but what do I know) lets start a new thread with pictures of how everything else is developing patina. I have only just started day 1 using a Bullstrap Case so I will probably edit this and post a first day and a week or two later comparison picture.

Also, maybe list any leather cases you've tried and didn't like and tell us all why you didn't like them?

I posted this in the previously mentioned thread but I'll repost here, I would NOT recommend Blackbrook at all. I've now tried 3 of their cases and all 3 were terrible quality.

I like the Bullstrap so far but am a little concerned about the camera protection, the lip around the lenses is just barely taller, I'm talking less than 1mm. I had to put a ruler across it to see if it would touch and you can just see a tiny bit of light. It does fit the phone very well, seems tight and hasn't popped any corners off so far while in my pocket. The buttons are black metal and feel good. Open bottom, good or bad depending on your preference. I'd prefer the closed bottom for protection but having no lip makes swiping up a joy. I think I'll put a skin of some sort on the phone to protect that exposed edge.

I have a decoded in the mail, I’m wondering if there’s any way to darken the metal ring around the camera…

Nomad brown leather case, one year of use, I don't like the TPU side and thin leather on the back, yet they are my all-time favourite, hope they have a full leather cover case.
Decoded case, first day, love the button and the case is thin, feels like the Apple leather case.

Looks really nice right now but based on how fast that’s changing it’s going to be solid black by July.

Do the edges on the front of the case fee dry and rough? I’ve had mine for about 6mos and the front edges (by the screen) feel so rough and dry, almost like cardboard

My darn indecisions - Flipping through Pics, YT videos on this for a few days. BS case. The Nomad Rugged (Not many like the buttons I saw - it was on Amazon briefly for 48 bucks this weekend but sold out fast) and the official Apple SB saddle brown case...with odd funky edge patina..which looks like grime to me.

FINALLY gave in and ordered the BS Bourbon yesterday - just received email it's on it's way.
Can't wait. Always loved how this case looks, super slick, I love the camera bevel also, it's just classy looking..

Had no idea the apple 12 cases would be so terrible, so hopefully someone reads this and opts to buy some of the 3rd party offerings. Just started my journey today with my Bullstrap Sienna! Unlike the Apple, the Bullstrap actually smells and feels like leather - Apple was too slick and smelled synthetic. As you can see, the Patina on the Apple was sort of junk and not what you would expect, especially seeing how well they used to break in on the previous generations.

Looks really nice! I’ve come to the conclusion that I’m a Nomad case kind of guy. I’ve had multiple Nomad cases for all of my phones since the xr with the only exclusion being the se2.

That black folio looks sleek!
