NON-Apple Leather Cases - Patina Proud Photos

My iPhone 12 Pro Max Saddle Brown Apple leather case after 9 days. Helped with Obenauf’s leather Cleanit to wipes the coating, and then a treatment with Obenauf’s Heavy Duty leather oil and Fiebing’s Mink Oil, it feels good and looks good. Now time will tell how it ages.. NO SANDPAPPER USED 😁

Here is my 12 pro max black nomad magsafe after 2 months, the creases on top right and bottom left is from dropping onto the edge of bedside table, the rest with normal use, slight ring from magsafe, not sure if the colour has changed much, still smells like leather.
I agree. These cases are definitely hard on the little finger especially with heavier phones like the pro and pro max. It’s not to bad with the mini. It would start to get uncomfortable with my regular 12 as well.
I ordered the MagSafe compatible Bullstrap case on Monday and it came in today. After disappointment with an apple leather case for my 12 Pro Max I’m really happy so far. Great quality that feels quite a bit better than the apple case. The MagSafe magnet seems on par with the apple case which was one of my concerns. Not sure I could be happier after a couple of hours with it.
Here is an update after one month of usage. because the Mous cases were on sale I bought a spare. also useful for comparison

I got one of these through fedex today. It feels so stiff, I'm not sure I'm going to keep it. I was so excited and then totally underwhelmed when it arrived.
I was disappointed after buying my iphone11 in January and found that Apple didn't offer their leather cases for the 11. The bonded leather case that I bought at the AT&T Store is good but it hasn't aged like the Apple leather case I had for my 6s. I may need to reconsider the Bullstrap or similar case.

I’m thinking about ordering one for my 12PM in brown. Do their cases smell like a nice leather? Curious about shipping from Netherlands to the US. Did you order off their site? Wonder how quick it is. It says 2-4 working days
It’s got more of a leather smell than Apple’s, but nowhere near as strong as Bullstrap’s. I don’t recall how long it took but it was waaaaay faster than Grams28’s.
Yeah Bullstrap would be my daily if they’d close the bottom, it smells amazing. The bottom of it hurts my pinky.
I went on an ordered the Decoded in brown earlier. I’m excited to try it.
Good choice. I'm really happy with mine especially now that it's had time to absorb some "character".
Well they updated shipping already and my brown decoded magsafe will be here Friday. It shipped from the Netherlands and I’m in the US. That’s fast!
I’ve stopped using mine for the time being since I’ve switched to the 2020 se. I’ve been using Apple’s iPhone 8 saddle brown case as well as the 2020 se red Apple leather cases on the se. I used my Nomad for around 4 months straight and it held up nicely. The last pics I posted are as it sits now. No change since I’m not using it.
The Decoded case did not disappoint. It’s fantastic. Very grippy new out of box and it fits tighter than apples. The buttons are basically the same as apples and I’m extremely happy with it. Ordered from Decoded and shipped out of The Netherlands and to me in the States in 2 days via UPS saver. Excellent service and crazy fast.
Edit: mines the MagSafe version with the closed bottom. Very smooth on the pinky
