I don't think so. I believe reserves are only for purchases. Call the store to find out for sure

After trying for MANY days via Apple store, I was able to get both myself a 128 Silver + and my wife a 64GB Gold + at Crabtree. They are ready for pickup now.
Now I'm just hoping that they will let me pay full price for the AT&T phones once I get there, I don't want to sign a contract or activate service (i.e. NEXT).

damn you I went online cancelled my pre-order as soon as I read this and was still able to order 6+ 128 Gb Space Grey Verizon!!!!!! I could almost kiss you!!!!! They must of got several in today!!!
Let us know what happens. I'd also like to just buy it 'Device only'.
I can't figure out if AT&T does the upgrade when you checkout online or only when you actually pick it up and checkout at the physical store.
I plan to use them both on prepaid using my own SIMs. I've heard of others being successful with 'device only.' Just hope I am as well.
Device only isn't a problem. What I'm unsure about is if you reserve one for pick-up, do they let you purchase it full price and not attach it to a line, or do you have to be a "walk-in" (i.e., without an online reservation) to get 'device only'?
Crabtree is a zoo... There is a line... It's for people still trying to get what's left from today's shipment #

I'm on prepaid now and would rather keep it that way but can start a contract if they give me no option.
I don't see any logical reason for them not allowing me to pay full price. Unless this is a tactic to repel scalpers.
The line was for people waiting for what was left of today's shipment but I don't know how they spilt the shipment up between online and in store pickup but they were still handing out reservation cards to about 20 people in line but they were giving priority to online orders first but I still had to wait inside the store for 15-20 minutes because of so many online orders already in the store. They must have got a ton of phones today.

There are shipments everyday but I know that since launch the apple store employees told me at least two if not three of the days since launch they got 0 6+s with the shipment and only regular 6's. I went to my local apple store 3-4 mornings prior to store opening within the last week and some days they would only get in one 6+ and it would be for Sprint and another day they would only get 1 6+ and it would be for T-Mobile and honestly this afternoon showed the most Verizon 6+ available in stock across central NC since launch weekend apparently Verizon is one of the most sought after configurations in the area.
