I do. BTW, I cancelled that order and placed a new one with my Apple Card for the same configuration and it is scheduled for pickup on September 22nd, not October.

I’ve been ready to buy a Mac Studio for months now, waiting for this M5 version to upgrade from my 16” M1 Pro MacBook Pro with 16GB of RAM.
Before the price hikes, I had kinda come to the conclusion I could justify spending $3500 to upgrade to the Mac Studio 128GB of RAM. I wanted to upgrade for local AI. Well that same Mac Studio would now cost me nearly $2000 more.
As a purely discretionary purchase and with my MacBook Pro covering my non-AI needs just fine, I can’t justify it. Nearly $6000 with taxes and Magic Trackpad purchase, even with trading in my MacBook Pro. Though I will have a different set of privacy limitations, I could use open weight cloud AI for many, many, many years before I would breakeven on this purchase.
