As if their name wasn't evidence enough, clearly Notchmeister has a solid sense of humor. Well done! That's absolutely absurd and completely amusing.

Yep, I hate to think how half these people would react these days if anyone released a screensaver featuring flying toasters.
I also miss apps like Candybar which let you replace the standard icons & dock with whatever you choose. I also miss apps like Kaleidoscope or (I'm dating myself) Mac OS 8.5's custom themes so you could customize the look of everything. This is exactly what popped into my head too. I regret absolutely none of my time spent doing things like playing with ResEdit or increasing my number of toasters. The light and fun stuff is what hooked me on Apple in the first place.
Oh lighten up. It’s awesome.Oh for crying out loud

Indeed. Modern macOS would be improved by Talking Moose and NekoCat.This is awesome and fun. It reminds me of the old Mac community that was full of humor and whimsey.

Moose in a very robotic synthesized voice: “You should be playing a game”!This is fun — reminds me of the Talking Moose, which for those of you too young to remember, was an animated moose that occasionally popped down from the menu bar to say something amusing. I miss that little guy.
I remember an app from the System 7 era which decorated the whole menu bar with hanging christmas lights and you could change the animation. This is awesome and fun. It reminds me of the old Mac community that was full of humor and whimsey.
Nothing wrong with Mr. ClippySo the Moose is kind of what Clippy was for Microsoft, except ‘Clippy’ never said anything, just gave you that awkward smile.
I’m the first admit, Mr. Clippy actually taught me things that I didn’t know years ago. It was a really unique little feature to have when prompted, especially if you were somebody that was a novice, parsing through different parts of software is not always user-friendly.Nothing wrong with Mr. Clippy

i just got my new mbp 14 the other week and i’ve literally forgotten it exists. doesn’t get in the way of anything and i’m sure you know by now if you go full screen in any app it just cuts off that new extra top part of the screen where the menu bar livesAnd with this, I am now pondering replacing my M1 MBA with a new MBP… NOT ??
