Steve Jobs spoke today at The Wall Street Journal's D: All Things Digital conference today.

Beyond the Airport Express already announced, a few other releases were revealed:

- New iTunes (4.6) later today, providing support for the Airport Express
- Security Patch for Mac OS X this week
- iTunes Europe appears to be confirmed for June 15th

More details as they become available.

Meanwhile, more independent reports indicate that PowerMacs should be released tomorrow.

Seems great!

Hopefully they will offer support for internet through the power outlet. I have seen this internet service offered and it would be cool if apple could support it. Just plug it in and boom ur on the internet.

quivk any random digital related meetings at all tommorow or this week this shouldmdefinetely tell us that apple wont just announce things at wwdc damn steves a tricky one

new PowerMacs

Definitely tomorrow. Shipping on Apple store shows 7-10 days. Why would they do this and wait until WWDC to release the new line. It looks like all shipments are on hold until the new ones come out.

And with todays Airport, and tomorrows Powermacs, there must be a lot of products waiting for WWDC.

question why didnt any of us relise that sj was talking at a conference
\what were we thinking

i wonder if it was the "one more thing" after his sppech

Or it will just be Tiger-centric.

Wow... finally the new PowerMacs.

It still is possible that they could reach 3 GHz, but probably not shipping until "the end of the summer".
Steve could be showing off this 3 GHz anyway, while The Big Announcement could be the iMac G5.
IMHO an iMac G5 is more of a "bang" than an updated G5 (even running at 3 GHz...)

no one saw this happening, what a day this is turning out to be. i cant wait for itunes uk, the new airport thing looks cool and will bring wireless to the masses and new g5's? what a week this will be!

It's going to be a great week! And next week won't be bad either, iTMS Europe finally opens next Tuesday! What about WWDC, will it be soley on Tiger or will Steve Jobs annouce new iMacs G5 as well?

OK then... Apple will update its lineup to 20GB, 30GB, and 40GB.
And to be more competetive, all iPods will be $100 cheaper, including the iPod Mini.

iPod Mini (4GB): $149
iPod (20GB): $199
iPod (30GB): $299
iPod (40GB): $399
Mac OS 10.4: Priceless. Well actually probably $129

Why on earth do you say that? Do they have to announce 3.0GHz at WWDC? Why not now?

I agree! Steve Jobs promised us 3GHZ by the end of summer ;)
