This way the release can be less dramatic, and he can avoid any possible embarassment at the big event. After all, it isn't every day that Steve doesn't live up to a promise that he's made openly to the entire Mac community. WWDC will likely center around Tiger, which sort of makes sense as thats more relevant to developers. Perhaps there will be a new iMac of some sort.
