Pretty foolish of you, make sure you don't ever drop it.

Never dropped the 3GS or the 4 (yet!)

I'm willing to risk it for it's slimness
Plus it's always in my pocket when I'm not using it.

Front and back screen protector and apple bumper is just a bit off full nakedness with good drop protection. That is the only way to go.

Screen and back protectors, plus zagg side shields is all I have. Probably have to use my bumper tho when I go on my NY trip.

Agreed, this is how I roll with my iP4 now! Plus the white bumper matches my white macbook! :D

I have a very minimalist case on my Iphone 4 because I HAVE dropped my phone before. I also always put a screen protector on, again, for basic protection. Neither adds much to the bulk of the phone, but I can understand those who prefer going naked.

I'm still considering using my iPhone naked again. With my Speck case, I discovered the iphone handles better in my hands and I have no death-grip issues. OTOH, I don't want to hide the design of the iPhone.

Had my 3gs since end of Jan., has been naked for the most part (minus silicon case), now I have 2 deep scratches on the screen, and 2 not so deep scratches.

I like the silicon case (which is thin btw) as it makes it so that it doesn't feel like a bar of soap ready to go flying out of my hands.

Just a funny story, but when I had signal problems (bad AT&T area near my home) Apple and AT&T would always ask me if my old 3GS was in a case.

When I said yes of course, they would ask me to take it out of the case as "some cases can cause a signal loss for the phone". Now what are they telling us?

I've learned my lesson, no more cases for me...

Got my first gen iPhone and probably when through 10 different styles of cases before I got the Zagg Invisible Shield, it turned yellow and pretty much sucks. I eventually went naked with it in the end and loved it.... Upgraded 2 years later to the 3gs. Same thing, went though several styles of cases. I love the sleekness of the iPhone and nothing has been able to come close to the experience I have when the phone is naked. Ended up going with nothing on my 3gs as well.... Upgrade to iPhone 4. Tried apple's free bumper, and it scratched up my stainless steel band :(. Took it off and decided to try ghost armor. It was ok, but it made my phone feel rubbery. No good. Going naked now and love it. :apple:

I'd prefer to not have to use a case, but I so easily can get the signal to drop without one. I wish the case protected the front because I do have a small scratch on the front. Luckily, I don't see it when the phone is on. I wish I could replace the phone because of that.

Two months now with no case or screen protectors. Not one scratch or blemish. It's not foolish for one that is responsible and knows how to take care of things.

Was using the incase snap case for about two months. I think it's the best case on the market, but wow, using it without is 100 times better.

Gave the case to a friend. Slim phone for the win. :p

Do you use a case?

imagine that you are carrying a glass around. one drop you will regret that it is no longer a beauty.

nothing can beat a naked iphone but a concrete floor will render it useless.

I use an otterbox defender case on my iPhone 4, sure it's big and bulky, but if I'm going to have this phone for two years, I need it in a case.

I used to use a bumper but I got tired of it. I never dropped it with the bumper anyway. I love the naked feel.

i do put it in this when not in use.

What kind of case is that? Does it have a belt clip?
