They really need to fix the notification issue - I havent gotten any vibrations or anything from my IM app, no statusbar icon, nothing.

I just happen to glance at the infoshade and notice the message.

There needs to be something that handles this - grip sms doesnt handle regular push, statusbar icons dont update, etc etc

its getting to be a huge pain

Yes, using the latest Notified Pro, 1.5.1, it crashes the mail app. And I think you can adjust the notifications for mail in the preferences for Notified.

Ok, I think I finally noticed what you were talking about. I tried going into a folder that I don't have currently being "pushed", and the Mail app started crashing. I did it a number of times, so this may be a bug.

To fix the BeeJive ! issue, disable "Alerts" in the notifications section in your general prefs (for beejive). This should make Notified just give you the beejive symbol.

thanks Vidnez it works:)

I had to rename the icons @2x cause i have an iphone 4

Vidnez can u make the icons a lil bigger?

Sure.

Im at work right now, but later I'll work to make it HiRes.

I'm a bit of a notified pro noob. I tried the free version a few months ago and now I have jumped up to pro.

I have a few questions.

1. What does the small magnifying glass symbol mean?

2. In this thread I saw a few screenshots that looked like people had made some visual improvements to the pull down. Looked kinda clear and glassy instead of plain white. Are there ways to change the look of notified? Or is that the infoshade app I saw people talking about?

Mail crashing

I can definitely confirm that the application itself, not grip, crashes the mail app. In addition to this, it appears to severely drain the battery, as well. I think that's tangentially related.

Here is what I think is happening:

The background process of Mail.app runs, attempts to fetch mail, even updates the counter, then crashes. If you watch, you'll see your counter increment, then immediately is reset back to whatever count you had before. So then the next time that mail has to be read, it goes through this again. Which is apparently more CPU intensive than if you had no new mail to read.

Some of this is speculation, but suffice it to say, I went to sleep at 12:30 with 49% battery and woke up at 7:00 with 10%. On a normal night I'd still be in the forties.

edit: You know, it worked absolutely perfectly for the first day or so. Then just stopped.

That's the Grip version/plugin. Search for "notified" in Cydia (actually press search, don't rely on auto-complete) and you'll see it listed there. It works in tandem with Notified.
