I contacted the dev. Apparently, the "!" icon not showing up is a bug, he's working on it.
Email answer from developer as to why the "!" isn't working

Does anyone know of a Twitter client that pushes timelines? There are several that push DM and mentions. And that have badges as well? I want to be able to use the twitter statusbar icon.
I'm using Boxcar but when I set Notified to redirect me the badge for Boxcar (and the statusbar icon) stay in the statusbar. Don't want to have to go to 2 places to get rid of the icon/read my timeline.

Thank you for this!!! you can also use this to re-assign notification images to different apps. For instance, i changed the Black_Mail@2x.png to Black_GPush@2x.png and now when I get a GPush notification the email icon shows up! (make sure you edit the black and the silver images)

Status Bar Icons in 3.1.3?
With the 1.5 update to Notified Pro is it possible to get status bar icons using 3.1.3? Right now I can't seem to find a way to get them to show up.

Remove SB from Silver_NotifiedSB@2x.png. & Black_NotifiedSB@2x.png. for iPhone4 and Silver_NotifiedSB.png & Black_NotifiedSB.png for 3G/3GS. Make sure you activate "Badge" on Nofified > Settings . Reboot.
Im not sure what editing these files will do - is it just supposed to make the catchall notification icon?
Just jailbroke again today and I'm trying to get Notified Pro. I bought it back when I was on 4.0.1, but now when I go to install it, the status bar just sits there before saying "http://apt.modmyi.com | Host Unreachable".

It was suppose to be, but he posted an actual beta image with those icons to tease the new version coming out with those implemented. Judging by the screenshot he gave, the icons are about half the size, and triple the spacing.
