Usually in /Library/Desktop Pictures/ I think...sure, where does OSX store its built in images?

No way that's a Macbook screen. Probably not a 30" either, but it's definitely larger than 1280x800.Lol! You do know that you can adjust the size of the Dock, right?
If you really want to get an idea of how many pixels the guy has on screen, look at his menu bar - the thing you cant change the size of. Also, in this particular case, look in his sig to get an idea of his screen.
