Now I realize... iPhone 4S is perfect for me...

Been using an iPhone 4 since release. Typing on it now. Great phone, but a bigger phone was needed so iPhone 6 will be my next step.

iPhone 5 was a poor design and waste of time hence my hesitation.

Im not sure how you come to a conclusion that multiple people are going to go back to the 4S cause the 6 is coming out, from a single post. The 5 design has been out for 2 years. We have to assume that every guy that suddenly has found new love for a 4S also pre-ordered a 6 :)

Multiple people will cancel orders period. Doesn't matter for what iteration whether it be a 4S, 5, Samsung Galaxy, no phone, different carrier, too expensive, whatever, people will cancel. Stop over-thinking.

My wife won't upgrade because she doesn't want anything bigger, not even a 4". She will obviously have to at some point in time but it does everything she needs and more for now. Not everyone cares about specs and having the latest and greatest phone lol

My wife is still happily using her iPhone 3G (honest!)

It doesn't run a lot of Apps, but surprisingly, it runs some. It was able to be updated to iOS 4 or 5 - somewhere around there, can't remember exactly. Works fine with iTunes and the App Store. It's quite peppy, because it's running pre iOS 6. And I give Apple a LOT of credit for this.

(During the iPhone6 launch event, when they showed the graph with 50x CPU improvement, I said, "Look - they're still talking about your phone!")

People obviously loved the iPhone 3G at the time... IMO, the iPhone 4S is ~100x better, but her iPhone 3G is wayyyyy better than a dumb phone. Personally, I think both the 4S and 5S are still awesome phones.

Of course, most people desire the newest, best model, but all that's gonna happen is next year the 6S will come out... Will people then make snarky comments about liking an iPhone 6?

Enjoy what you like and not what others like.

4 and 4S are Nice devices with good design.
And if it fills your needs in terms of apps, use it and change iPhone when you need.

But dont upgrade yet to iOS 8...wait some time.

The 4/4S design is still the best and the form factor is perfect for non-smartphone-zombies who just uses core-functions like calling, texting, navigation and just a little bit of media/apps.

Although I love my 4S, since iOS7 its lagging sometimes and I dont like that. So I guess I have to upgrade to an 5S. It has not the same perfect design, but it deserves the :apple: and it has basically the same form factor.

The 6 on the other hand is ugly as f. Im quite shocked about its design and I still cant believe that such an ugly piece of s has an :apple: on its back. The form factor does the rest. Yuck. For me, iPhone is dead. The 5S will be my last iPhone.

RIP iPhone (2007-2013)

4s is a perfectly good phone. In fact, it is what I am currently using and have been since it launched. That being said, I am considering upgrading to a 5s mainly for a slightly larger screen size and to take advantage of the LTE capability that the 4s lacks on Verizon's network.

As a side note, posters here sure love making snarky, immature comments. What happened to the users who'd actually contribute to a thread and foster intelligent conversation?

I'm coming back to this board after a couple years...and find that it's full of trolls and smart mouth internet tough guys. There's a helluva lot less real information and help now, and I think it has a lot to do with the new iPhone release.

The OP is just stating a fact. He has the right to just like we have a right to post anything inoffensive.

I think people are probably just tired of other posters starting threads with questions that are covered in the stickys at the top of the page, or have been covered again and again and again by those same helpful people. So now the more useful threads get pushed down.

"Wheres my iPhone??? Why hasn't it shipped???" Utilizing the search function will give you more information then you could ever imagine in your wildest dreams....

I still have a land line. Why? Because in an emergency, the land line has always worked. During Sandy, there was no power, no cable or Internet and cell service was horrific for days. The only thing that worked reliably was our land line. I just wish I had a modem and an AOL CD with 1900 free hours of dial up so I could get on the Internet. :)

Surprisingly, all my neighbors still have landlines and cell phones. I cancelled my home phone when I got rid of tv. Now all I use is faster internet along with Netflix and Hulu.

I had an iPhone 5S... I sold it to buy an HTC ONE M8... Just to try it out...
So... I just sold the HTC to buy and iPhone 6... While it arrives I'm using an iPhone 4S... This iPhone is perfect... I don't play games and I only watch Netflix or a YouTube video from time to time... Facebook and phone calls feel about the same as any other of the mentioned phones...
Probably I will just cancel my iPhone 6 order...

The 4s is the best iPhone ever made. I also read an article where it has the best audio quality of any iPhone to date as well. Truly a work of art.

Enjoy it for as long as you can, hopefully the 7 will be out and the 6's will be cheaper before you tire of it. I wouldn't ever sell it, it's always nice to have a temp phone to go to when you're switching around phones and trying new ones out. You'll always be happy when you go back to it and you'll always be amazed just how nice of a phone it is.

Sometimes I also use my iphone 4S and when I use my iphone 5S the difference in screen quality and the big size of the screen is amazing.

I can't think about quality and size of the screen in the iphone 6 it will be like using a black and white tv with an ultra hd screen.

Godspeed. Netflix would look incredible on an iPhone 6.

Well here in California we don't have hurricanes like you guys do. I would be afraid to live over there with all the storms. Don't know how you all do it.

Here we have earthquakes and fires, if either of which was bad enough to need the land line, the house would already be destroyed anyway so it wouldn't do any good.

on Sept 23, I gave my iPhone 4s to my mother in law in exchange for her aging iPhone 4... I took the iPhone 4 to the AT&T store to get the $200 promo card... and I reordered an iPhone 6 plus... Should be here later this month...

What happened to one handed use?
