Greatest thing I've read on here in awhile. Well done my friend. Way this was written reminds me of the "Shrek is love" video on youtube. If you haven't seen it, go watch it. Definitely NSFW, but funny as hell.

I'm nervous my alarm won't wake me, it's going to be 3AM for me, and I don't wake up normally at that time, even to go piss

Well I'm with you! I'm nervous! But I care about this kind of stuff... I get testy when I can't get my phone (or whatever it happens to be) on release day!

Hubby could care less... he's a "when it gets here it gets here" kind of guy.... me: NOPE! I want it and I want it next Friday! If I have to wait i'll be pissy about it!

First world problems! But that's my personality!

That's a good nervous. Means you're excited about something and looking forward to it. I try to gamble on the Kentucky Derby when I get that chance and know that feeling.

A bad nervous is World War III, North Korea launched a nuke, a major natural disaster, a random shooting at a midnight showing in a theater, and global outbreak.

That's when you will stop caring about it and be like Bronn and leave that bag of gold behind or get killed by a Dothraki or dragon.

Just be psyched but remember it's not going to kill you.

I’m very nervous too. My intention was to use my iPad on WiFi and my iPhone on 4G, but I’m having Apple Pay issues on my iPad so I’ll be down to just my iPhone. Ahhhh!

I can see from your signature you've already got your new iPhone, so you couldn't understand.

Those of us who have been waiting for iPhone X now have the additional fear that the ordering process might go against us and mean even longer waits. Yes I am serious, because this is a very big deal.

Those of us who miss out will probably be waiting beyond Feb 2018 for our new iPhones. This would be a crushing blow.
 
You get nervous when the cops pull you over and you have a bag of weed in your pocket... You get nervous when your girlfriend tells you she's late.... You get nervous when your wife asks who Jenny is while looking at your phone... A device launch is nothing to get nervous about.. Breathe and relax, things could be worse..

toss in an extra few hundred and the scalpers will save you from such long wait times (considering it is that much of a big deal to you).

The X is the width of existing non-Plus phones give or take, and taller than the Plus. The extra height is negated by the notch and lack of home button at bottom, so there’s notably less screen real estate than existing Plus screens. The .3” screen difference is misleading.

I’ll miss the width. I can type super fast with two thumbs on the Plus in portrait. On non Plus phones I find it cramped and have to go landscape.

Especially since the process is really only a few minutes. We already know the 5-10 minute range the app and site are likely to go live, and we've all done a dry run through the process to see how long it takes (probably 2 minutes tops); and then you're done, go back to sleep.

You do realize its only a phone you’re talking about?

It isn’t the last dose of the vaccine, or the last spot in the doomsday bunker... it’s a phone, a shinny new phone, just like the ones before it.... and next year.... yes..... believe it or not....next year there will be another new shinny phone.

Don’t stress, every year you’ll be able to buy a new phone and it will be special for about 335 days.

It is not just a phone. It is pocket-able super computer.

And I think it is OK to be excited and to want to own the latest and greatest iPhone on launch day. It is more special when you are part of the conversation on launch day - as we all unbox and start experiencing the wonders of iPhone X together on the same day.

I really think if you don't order within 10 seconds of the store going live you'll already be waiting weeks, and if you wait another 30 or 40 seconds, you'll be waiting months. This is insane, but i am happy for Apple that they have created such an incredible product that so many people must own it.
