No question, Max is the right size. Screen is gorgeous! Even though it is modest upgrade in terms of performance going from X to Max, the big screen makes it feel like a huge leap ahead. The X was too narrow to take full advantage of the edge to edge. Plus the Gold is amazing!
It’s too big, too thick, and too heavy. Ended up downsizing.
I dont have an apple watch and I saw so many people come into the store and pick up those rectangle boxes more than the iPhone. I was so confused. Now I know what it is lol
Size is perfect. I’ve been missing my plus sizes for a whole year while I tried very hard to get used to my iPhone X. I type with 2 hand but I do a lot of reading on my phone single handily.
I'm happy with the phone aspect of my 6s Plus but really want the max for the better camera.. you think its been a worthwhile upgrade?
Well, I can’t really give much feedback, since I haven’t been able to really set mine up yet, but it LOOKS really pretty! 
I’m coming from pluses (6 through 8), so I’ve never been concerned about the overall size. I’ll be curious how well I can do one-handed, and I may not know for sure until my Loopy case arrives in a couple weeks, but I’m sure I can manage. I’m super pumped about having all that extra screen!

Absolutely!!! I was fine with my 6s plus. Cracked the screen 2 weeks ago so the release encouraged me to do the upgrade. I don’t upgrade my phones every cycle anymore, this will last me 2-3 years. Definitely a worthwhile upgrade coming from 6s plus.
No, it’s incredible. The screen is suprisingly big. I can’t believe how big it seems to me since I came from 6.2” Galaxy S9+, which is only .3” difference. I love how big the screen is and in the body size of a 6/7/8+. I wouldn’t have it any smaller.

Yes it seems to be a perfect size not too big, not too small, I think IM the only one with silver still love my traditional silver tho… setting it up now! Hope the keyboard is bigger!

I was super worried too but its sooo much easier to use even without a case because the glass back and steel sides are so much grippier. also its less wide so me holding it isn't so crazy like it was with my 7 PlusWell, I can’t really give much feedback, since I haven’t been able to really set mine up yet, but it LOOKS really pretty!

I was really worried about the size coming from an iPhone 6.
Immediately out the box I knew I made the right decision. This phone is beautiful and not that much of a jump up in size. If you think you can handle a slightly bigger phone, you'll find it's worth it. At least I did.

Got my Xs max today. Had plus phones every year since the first. Then got the X last year. I am so glad to be back on a plus sized phone again. The wider display alone makes it worth it. Never going to a smaller model again.
Just left the apple and agree with many of the posts above; the max feels great. I own an x, but the max seems to be the phone I’ve always wanted apple to make. After seeing it in person, I’m seriously thinking of upgrading.
I said the same thing lol. Im sure the gold is beautiful but I had a gold 6 and after a while it seem gaudy to me. Had Jet black 7 Plus, so i'm trying something diff.Yes it seems to be a perfect size not too big, not too small, I think IM the only one with silver

Yes it's massive and I cannot one hand it at all (have to get a popsocket). BUT I love it. It's like an iPad and iPhone had a baby lol

yes silver looks super clean and sharp!!! Cant figure out, does the phone come with any NEW ring tones? I backed up from iPhone and hard to tell.... I see three new wallpapers.. that's it??
