Just tried it again and got this

Cool, hopefully mine will change soon. I phoned O2 and was told, if info is showing my 6 o-clock, it means DHL have it, and we will get it tomorrow. SO I have until 6 for it to give me some info.

My contract details in MyO2 just changed too. I am now tied in until 9th January 2010 :eek:
 
Still no sign of any changes on mine - i will leave it till 20:45 and then contact Customer care and see if i can cancel the order.

I did get an email from one of the drones at O2 which said that despite what i was being told on the phone - it could be up to 2 weeks for me to get a phone.
 
mine is dispatched, ordered after the "out of stock" on o2.co.uk, dispatched a few mins ago

Got told that if i cancel my order and try and get one at a store i will go to the back of the queue.

was it on the phone that you were given that info or via email?

Don't take anything as gospel from the mupppets on the phone, they rarely know any more than my dog!
 
DHL picked up my iPhone from O2 at 14:04 today. Woo! I can't wait for tomorrow. i live in an apartment building, so will be hovering around the front door all day. Hope it arrives in the morning. Not this 9 o-clock in the evening nonsense.

I got told on the phone that i will NOT be getting it on friday and at lunch time my order was complete.

Roll on Friday!!!!!
 
I do wish they'd get their stories straight.

I have a shipping email saying that it's on a next working day delivery (i.e. Friday) and a letter from customer services in response to my email yesterday when I first found out that something might be happening that tells me 3-5 days and yet contains the tracking reference.

Strange - I'm guessing they've been told to underpromise in the hopes of overdelivering rather than ending up taking calls all morning.

The bloke I spoke to on the phone read back to me the address that had the problem. It was my (correct) home address, the same one that they have no problem sending a bill to each month.

So my order has seemingly been cancelled for a reason that no one at o2 can tell me, and I still can't get to a shop tomorrow.

How odd.

They have my address wrong - but despite not actually having a phone to allocate yet have told me they can only change the address on the order when it gets to DHL..... and then it will delay it another 48 hours.
 
Ordered my 16GB iPhone upgrade around 1pm on Monday using the failover page after trying since 9am. Got 2 emails yesterday afternoon and the 3rd very early this morning.

My order is still showing as In Progress. Just called O2 CS and the lady there said that mine was on back-order as they didn't have the stock. My order number is 011115xxx.

Can't believe I was unlucky enough to not get one when it looks like orders after mine are now being despatched!

I wonder if as others are saying, O2 CS don't really know what's going on and I may still get it despatched today?!?

Hold out hope. My order number starts the same as yours. I haven't had my confirmation email yet, but my other half (who actually ordered *after* me) has the same start to his order number and has a confirmation email and tracking number.

He was also told this morning by o2 that he wouldn't be getting it for another week or so - it seems the upgrades department just see the item as being 'out of stock' regardless until the order goes through.

I keep refreshing in hope!

"O2: Congratulations your Apple iPhone will be couriered to you on Friday 11 July. Certain postcodes are excluded. See www.o2.co.uk/pc for more details."

All the postcodes are in Scotland. I am not, so it looks certain for tomorrow! :D Anyone else get this text?

I wonder what model you both went for? Was it the 16GB version?

I know what you mean about refreshing. I am still doing it every minute or so. This is agony!

I suggest you definitely need to cancel your online order if you're going to upgade in-store.

I was surprised to get the exact same message just now. I only ever managed to submit the form on the failover site on Monday afternoon and got the "lol thanks for ur order" message which is still there.
My order number is 011119nnn.

I'd already resigned myself to not getting one for weeks. Upgrading my iPhone has so far been an emotional rollercoaster! :p

I have just spoken to a team leader.

he has said that everyone will get a mail/text today to say whether they are getting one tomorrow by 1800.

If you are too far down the list their next delivery will be Friday the 18th. And i still couldn't change the address to the correct one - so the earliest i could get one from O2 if i waited would be 22/23rd....bunch of lieing cheating bar stewards.

But this is nuts - I've been told twice by a team leader that they *will* be able to change the address on my order (if it ever gets a delivery number). They'd better bloody be able to - they cocked it up
