Well now been told that i am not getting one, despite my order being processed and they have no information as to when they will be getting stock again.
Got told that if i cancel my order and try and get one at a store i will go to the back of the queue.

I got told on the phone that i will NOT be getting it on friday and at lunch time my order was complete.

Right, So I chased up my order. The order was processed at 9:45 last night but there was "a problem with the address" that I provided. The bloke I spoke to on the phone read back to me the address that had the problem. It was my (correct) home address, the same one that they have no problem sending a bill to each month.
So my order has seemingly been cancelled for a reason that no one at o2 can tell me, and I still can't get to a shop tomorrow.
Ordered my 16GB iPhone upgrade around 1pm on Monday using the failover page after trying since 9am. Got 2 emails yesterday afternoon and the 3rd very early this morning.
My order is still showing as In Progress. Just called O2 CS and the lady there said that mine was on back-order as they didn't have the stock. My order number is 011115xxx.
Can't believe I was unlucky enough to not get one when it looks like orders after mine are now being despatched!
I wonder if as others are saying, O2 CS don't really know what's going on and I may still get it despatched today?!?

I just got a text from O2 this very minute. it says:
"O2: Congratulations your Apple iPhone will be couriered to you on Friday 11 July. Certain postcodes are excluded. See www.o2.co.uk/pc for more details."
All the postcodes are in Scotland. I am not, so it looks certain for tomorrow!Anyone else get this text?
I haven't had my confirmation email yet, but my other half (who actually ordered *after* me) has the same start to his order number and has a confirmation email and tracking number.
He was also told this morning by o2 that he wouldn't be getting it for another week or so - it seems the upgrades department just see the item as being 'out of stock' regardless until the order goes through.
I keep refreshing in hope!

"O2: Your iPhone 16GB order has been successful. We're temp out of stock. It'll be couriered by 18 July. Certain postcodes excluded shown on www.o2.co.uk/pc"
Looks like I'll be waiting another week. Do I need to cancel my order beforehand if I want to upgrade tomorrow morning at an O2 shop?

I suggest you definitely need to cancel your online order if you're going to upgade in-store.

I have just spoken to a team leader.
And i still couldn't change the address to the correct one - so the earliest i could get one from O2 if i waited would be 22/23rd....bunch of lieing cheating bar stewards.
