It's a load of crap thats why mine says June 2009 and Customer Services said I'm not eligible for upgrade till 11th December.

I have got to warn you that MMS's are not included in the unlimited text bold on. For MMS you can only use the standard amount for the contract, which is 500 texts, so you can only send 125 free MMS's a month, sorry!I was until 9 months then went down to £35and added unlimited texts. Good i love MMSing people all day lol

O2 insists that you get a £10 topup SIM card on PAYG, but the Apple store are giving the £10 back as a voucher for people who have a 3G contract. Staff are aware of how unhappy 3G contract users are.

I just tried the 02 website upgrade and it went through just fine as an upgrade. I type te code in they sent me and then went on to order a 32gb White 3gs!
Fingers crossed! By the way I'm eligable for an upgrade till December 09!

"Sorry, you're not elligable message" pops up
Try again, and the waiting whirlygig shows up on a grayed out page, then it times out and tells me that O2 can't upgrade me online and I should call customer services.

I did. Had my 2g from day one (queued at Regent's Street for it), had my 3G on launch day. So it's not that as I can't upgrade.![]()

but i think it all comes down to whether or not you upgrade from 2G to 3G, and whether the O2 system is still viewing your contract start date as when you first got the 2G

Phil, I've checked your account and can confirm you that you'll be eligible to upgrade your current contract on or after 14 December 2009 as our Pay Monthly customers' can only upgrade their contract one month before their contract end date.
I'm sorry that your upgrade date is incorrect on your online account. This is a known fault and we're working to resolve the matter as soon as possible.

when I phoned O2 they said I was not eligible, but when I emailed mycarewebform@o2mail.co.uk
they said yes and sent the link

i took the 3g on release last year. according to o2's criteria i should be able to upgrade 6 months early but they wont let me cos they wont apply the tiering system until october.
despite every single last bill being over 80 for the last 8 months.
