This thread's really gone down a slippery slope with this whole Radiohead thing.

I like Radiohead and all, but second most influential band of all time? Presuming you think The Beatles are number 1, that means you think Radiohead are more influential than:

• Pink Floyd

• The Velvet Underground

• The Beach Boys

• Black Sabbath

• Chuck Berry

• The Ramones

• Kraftwerk

• Nirvana

• David Bowie

• Elvis Presley

• Bob Dylan

And I could go on and on...

The artists above basically caused the creation of entire genres, much less specific bands. Syd Barrett alone has probably launched hundreds of bands, many of them quite good. Radiohead has probably done more harm than good with the whole influence thing (see: Coldplay).

I like radiohead and every album they have made even teh my iron Lung EP. I paid 8 pounds for inrainbows. I love their stuff I really for but sorry oasis does it for me (and millions of others obvioulsy!).

I remember a quote from NME about MUSE who said they sound like radiohead did before the robots got them. I Love the latest MUSE album Black Holes and Revelations. its a classic.

Just to show you I'm not one dimensional who has nothing but oasis in their collection (even though I have EVERYTHING they have put out including Japanese imports )I have thousands of CD (all brought, never ripped off) including Beatles, The Who. Miles Davies, The Blue Nile, Prefab Sprout, Scritti Pollitti, the Smiths, Mozart, stoneroses, rollingstones, Led Zep, ray Charles, louis armstrong, Led Zep, Floyd, U2, Green Day, Take That, ABBA, All Saints, Dido etc etc, Burt Bacharach,(I could go on and on believe me)

BUT nothing moves me like oasis-for me the greatest band of all time
