Oct. 1 to 6 2014 Delivery Date Orders (Update) Delivered earlier!

I called the Ups support number just a few minutes ago. The guy said that my Thursday the 25th shipment has been updated to Tuesday the 23rd by 10:30A.M. He said that the system will update in the morning for everyone.

It makes a lot of sense that I am getting it Tuesday and not Tomorrow as it stated in the theory that I wrote earlier. The Ups center that I work for is a smaller center and we get all of our Next Day Air packages on Saturday morning. They sit until Monday and they go out for delivery. At my center there is no Air shuttles from the Airport on Mondays. If you live in a bigger City or have a bigger Ups Hub then thats get Air Shuttles on Monday mornings then you do have a great chance of tomorrow delivery.

Yeah..no more pre-orders for me also. The Apple Store literally 1 mile from me and said they will get a new supply tomorrow - big resupply of Plus models. Granted I am thrilled my order finally went to "Preparing for Shipment" today - can't cancel it. I could have just walked into tomorrow and picked up one. Well I suppose I could, ATT needs to reset my account again..thats a hassle. Waited this long, I can wait a few more days.
 
I got a different number I called. (It has to be funny if all of a sudden they get a flux of callers from this site, haha!) The guy told me I will get it on Tuesday pending proper customs clearance! I was going to get it on Friday originally.

Yeah there are a few numbers. I called the international line but said domestic to the automated system. It's all the same

How did you call? They're not open today!
 
Is it too late in the game to change my delivery to pickup at a UPS facility. I am in the infamous 7:10 ZhengZhou group and it seems people are getting bumped up from Thursday (what I am scheduled for) delivery to Tuesday. Would it cause a problem to change it at this point or should I let it be?
 
The person I talked to said that it was in transit and there was a chance of a earlier delivery date that would be posted tomorrow.

No you can change it any time before it's physically loaded onto a truck the morning it arrives in your building to be put out for delivery.

Same here. The rep basically told me in no uncertain terms that until the scheduled shipment date of Thursday the 25th came and went, UPS still considers the package to be on schedule and wasn't going to give me any other information. She told me to keep watching the website

Like I haven't basically been causing a denial of service attack on the UPS website with the F5 key already.

I called and he only confirmed what the tracking site shows - still in China

The rep said something about its waiting on a security scan, but that it should update sometime tomorrow

My phone is scheduled for Thursday
 
Man, I hate to say it, but I'm rethinking the 6 Plus. It's basically because I exercise a lot so I'm wearing shorts for everything. The size is just plain awkward, no two ways about it. I have a vertical holster for it from my old Galaxy Note 3 that I've been using, but the thing is huge on my waist. Around the house, going out if I'm wearing pants not a problem at all, just slip it into my pocket and it's fine. All day Friday, didn't even notice it or think it would be an issue, come Saturday morning get ready to go hiking and I'm trying to figure out how to carry it and what pocket is big enough! Repeat on Sunday morning and then again Sunday afternoon, then want to run out to Home Depot and my big phone is flopping around in my pocket (insert joke here).

I'm going to check out the 6 tomorrow. I'd hate to give up the gorgeous screen, optical image stabilizer and awesome battery life, so it's going to be a tough sell.

Anyhow, just an interlude from the normal "why hasn't my tracking info changed lately" topic :)
