You pullin our legs???? Or just trying to make us feel better? The dumb@$$ I talked to earlier just spewed 'customs, keep checking, blah blah blah'.

I'm NOT pulling anybody's leg or trying to make anybody feel better. I've been refreshing UPS and this forum all weekend with everybody else! This was the first semi-straight answer I've gotten from UPS all weekend! I'm just as relieved to hear it as everybody else!

I don't like this theory because it doesn't get me my phones earlier. ;)

Being an ex-chef is like being an ex-preacher, to me. ;)

What I'm trying to say is that I love food. Eating it, anyway; I have literally burned boiling pasta.

Water. You've gotta add water..:p

I'm just saying that Big Brown is rarely wrong on delivery dates - and certainly wouldn't want to mess up their Apple account. Have faith.

There is a guy who lives about 45min from me that I have seen on this forum. He has the 7:10 with an end of day delivery for tomorrow. What I was getting at was that my phone is on the same plane so technically it would follow the same route on the same day for delivery. Ups isn't going to hold my Air package for 4 days after it landed

Unless you have an express, they're going to fly it into Louisville and then throw it on a trailer to a hub. I'm reading last year's threads on here, and that's what happened. Everybody got their phones on the day it said they would. I'll give my area in Northeast Ohio as an example of how an expedited will travel; it will arrive in Louisville, go to Columbus, and then hop on a trailer to my local center.

My manager on Friday made a cover driver take a 2 hour round trip to another center for just 1 iPhone that got misrouted. That is how serious Ups is about getting these phones delivered on time.

That's pretty weird if they throw expedited on a trailer. At my center in south Florida it always goes by Air. Could be different.

Oh no doubt, it's many millions in shipping that Apple is throwing at us at once, but I'm reading last year's "Stuck in ZhengZhou" thread and extrapolating that out to this year. I think that everybody will get their phones on time or possibly a day early, but I don't think everybody with a Thursday date is going to magically wake up to them out for delivery tomorrow.

If I were still up in 5 hours I'd go to the building when the preload starts and check ETT internal tracking to see if it had better information.

I agree with you. It's just weird how we wouldn't push all that through the system immediately. I was just coming up with a theory. It technically could happen

I'm the FDC internationals auditor at my building and we ship out expedited to the Middleburg hub with the rest of the ground. The only ones that I send to the airport are Express, Express Plus, Express Saver, and invoices for customs clearance of any Expedited going to a high risk country like Yemen or Saudi Arabia. Everything else gets loaded with the rest of the ground and 2nd day, and 3 day selects. It goes ground the first leg, then hops on a plane.

This is my theory about the 7:10 hold up. That flight seems to have delivery dates from Monday all the way to Thursday on it. Peoples service levels are from savers to expedited. This makes complete sense what I'm about to explain. That plane has to land in Kentucky tonight or early in the A.M. in order to deliver the end of day express savers on Monday. Every single iPhone on that plane will be processed and then dispatched as it is considered an Air package. There is a chance that almost everyone has their delivery updated for tomorrow. If you were to order 2 T-shirts from China and you were to choose express saver and the other was expedited than your delivery dates would be different. This is a bulk shipment we are waiting for. Ups is treating all iPhones as a Next Day Air Savers when they hit the states. Yes I work for UPS.

Still my favorite poster!

E-beer on me! :D

Makes sense. I barely see any expedited near the trailers though. I am back and forth between the Air and ground stations. I take your word for it

Just go to ups.com and track by Reference Number. Use your cell phone number as the reference and zip code.

Oh man! I'm a 25th-er in LA as well. I don't want to get my hopes up, though.

Last year for my wife's gold 5S tracking still said it was in China when it was delivered. If I remember correctly that too was UPS. At the same time I refresh my tracking constantly. I am tired of seeing ZhengZhou, China at 7:10
