I have a feeling that everyone from this Oct 1-6 group is going to see their phones on Wed/Thurs this week no matter what day it says on the UPS tracking. There's obviously no way anyone will see theirs today, and tomorrow is mostly a pipe dream because none of them will likely leave Alaska today.

Tomorrow is actually very much a possibility.

These 3 planes from Incheon, Osaka, and Shanghai are Anchorage bound and they should land around 5pm ET. It's only a 5.5 hours flight from Anchorage to either Chicago or Louisville. If they take the next flight out there, and as long as it arrives before 2am ET in Chicago or Louisville, they can make it to your local airport by 6-7am and then loaded to the truck for tomorrow's delivery.

Example:

That's the Osaka flight right now going to Anchorage. If you notice, they usually arrive in Anchorage around 12:30pm AK time and using the same flight left for Chicago some 3 hrs later. Arrive in Chicago the same day around midnight.

Same thing with this Incheon flight. It arrives around noon AK time and the same flight left for Louisville some 3 hrs later and arrive in Louisville before midnight

Will the iPhones go to a different plane to get to Kentucky, or will the plane itself continue on?

I refuse to speculate anymore. Whatever the site tells me is what I'll believe until it changes.

FINAL UPDATE
3 flights heading to Alaska now

UPS105 Osaka to Alaska:

UPS81 Shanghai to Alaska:

UPS99 Incheon to Alaska (Now finally departed):

Upon arrival in Anchorage it's another 5.5 hours ride to Louisville, KY hub (Except Osaka flight seems to go to Chicago/Rockford after Anchorage) so I think it should be there around midnight - 2am on Tuesday 9/23. Then per our resident UPS guy (flyingwasabi) they should board 4am flight to your local airport and then loaded to the truck by 7am for delivery!!

Not to be a downer... but I don't see any UPS flight leaving Alaska going to Kentucky today.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. All of those planes continue onto Louisville with about a two hour layover. I've had crazier things happen. Typically when my packages leave Asia before mid-day, I receive them the following business day.

They don't populate on most websites for security reasons. Trust me, there will be a ton later today/this evening.

My iPhone finally shipped!

ZhengZhou, China: 09/22/2014: 8:40 P.M.Departure Scan

Looking through the thread, I don't think I've seen anyone with the same departure time from this location. Anyone else here sharing my plane? Or was this a train departure to get to the airport?

My phone is on the same flight, or train, or whatever this one is. Lol.

COME ON OCT 02!!!! (or up to 2 weeks after that - once I get shipped)

Cant Wait!!!!! This is going to be awesome!

Nice!! After all that never ending "Processing" nonsense, I can't believe it will be here Wednesday! :D

and they don't populate because the flight plan has not been filed yet..that should happen within the next few hours

Anybody from Shanghai to Osaka get bumped from a 9/22 to 9/24 delivery date? From quickly reviewing prior posts, it looks like most people are getting 9/23 delivery.

I think the flight plans are posted when they get closer to AK. When I was tracking the wrong flight (thinking it left Shanghai earlier), I got an alert that a flight plan to KY was posted. In that case, the flight number must have been the same.

One last thing: take a look at http://flightaware.com/live/flight/UPS99. UPS99 continues to Louisville after a 2 hour stopover (average) in Anchorage.

THERE IS HOPE! :D

My phone went from shanghai to Osaka, and UPS now says delivery on Wednesday. I'm on the west coast.

Yes definitely. If you look at UPS105 and UPS81, same thing... they use the same flight from Incheon/Shanghai/Osaka to continue to Louisville/Chicago from Anchorage so there is not departure listed now as it's still a while before that plane landed in AK.

Keep in mind they don't fly the 747 or 777 cargo within the US(typically trans continental). Most likely they go on A300's which are substantially smaller. It will take a few A300 to fill what was in a 747 or 777 for that matter...

Actually flight 81(the 747) does fly directly into the Worldport at Louisville. The flight track logs show that to be the case 5 days a week.

It's one thing to rage at Apple or UPS; I myself have gotten frustrated with them and the situation and had to go back and check myself in this very thread. Lashing out at someone who has done nothing but try to provide pertinent information and been perfectly nice to everyone, whether his information bore out or not in the end, crosses the line of civility in my opinion.

100% agreed.

9/25 as well.

Hoping a bit for Wednesday, but not holding my breath.

im here:

Incheon, Korea, Republic of 09/22/2014 7:55 P.M. Arrival Scan

my ups says by wednesday.

Apologies if I've missed it but does ANYONE still have a Monday delivery date in this thread? I'm a bit blown away and disappointed how UPS has handled our entire batch that was "shipped" on Friday.

:apple:

Don't follow your logic. If something originally said A, and then updates to say B, I expect B, not H.

The logic is in who I originally quoted. The guy's original intended date was the 1st through 6th. If he is pissed that it isn't here today then the emotion he feels is misguided. If someone told me I'd get my phone on the 19th and today it is not here then I would be annoyed, I would not be posting to this thread because this was intended for those who were given a 1st through 6th ship date, and I would likely just have to wait because it is entirely out of my control.

I've been in the boat of shipping dates being over promised on and under delivered. In the end it sucked but all worries and annoyances were gone once I was sitting with my new shiny whatever.
