If my phone left Osaka to Anchorage then on to Chicago, I thought it would have to go to Louisville so it gets sorted to Miami. I wonder if they are taking shipments off that flight and loading it on another flight to Louisville.

When is your expected delivery? My guess is that it gets on a separate flight altogether that heads down to southern Florida. Unless it can somehow catch the incoming flights to Louisville and be processed further that way.

If I'm on EST, that means my phone left at 5:20AM, my time, correct? And its 4PM already here..

BUT where is my phone?? A lot of people checked in over Korea but ours haven't yet and it is currently over 10 1/2 hours past the shipment's local departure time at Zhengzhou. Isn't there a 24 hour change along the way to Anchorage? Will it go straight to Anchorage?

Also, I am very upset that my delivery date, which was a very modest Thursday 9/25, was moved to Friday 9/26 upon the departure scan update. Which doesn't make sense considering other people are near me on their departure but are going to receive it tomorrow or Wednesday. I live in Michigan which is east coast but kind of tucked away.. Still..

Who else is in my group? ;)

I'm asking the same questions! Apparently our shipment missed the plane and got on a train. Sad.

I guess 9/26 is better than 10/1-10/6 :)
 
But the Louisville is a Worldport Hub, I don't think Chicago is as huge as the KY one.

It is certainly possible that they would unload the stuff from all 3 flights, and then sort them accordingly (i.e. Stuff going to Chicago/Midwest area will be re-loaded to UPS105 and everything else is going to Louisville with UPS99 and UPS81 including stuff that needs to go to West/East coast and the South). That's why it takes 2-3 hours to refuel and presumably unload/reload.
 
7:10 crowd, our plane lands in 2 hours in Alaska, then after a 2 hour layover goes to Louisville. Most will get their phones tomorrow mid-country. East and West Coast will get it Wednesday.

Same here, Michigan. It is odd how we are scheduled later in the week and had the dates pushed back while others didn't..

There was lots of talk like this about the people who had Monday/Tuesday deliveries on Friday... you know what happened to them? They all got pushed back a day.

I'm thankful we aren't all waiting in China with no updates still....

I am on the EAst Coast and my ups delivery says tomorrow 9/23 by end of day.. Of course I did hold for pickup already and just waiting for ups to approve it .. XD

Right here in the 5:20pm 9/22 group. Also on the east coast, NC coast to be specific.

Not sure which crowd I'm in. My flight from Osaka hasn't had an arrival scan yet. I'm in Virginia and it says delivery Tuesday for now...
 
I don't see any scheduled flights from Chicago to Louisville or to Miami.

I think UPS is only going to ship phones to Chicago that need to go to Chicago. I have never had a package float over there, only through KY, then to me. Chicago is not a hub for the US like Louisville is.

Sometimes (100% of the time through next-day), it is flown from KY directly to Metro Detroit, no hub in between.

I agree, Looks like they separate cargo on these flights to Anchorage i guess.

The 7:10 crowd is the one who got stuck with a security scan and 2 days in ZhengZhou. Finally left today, went to Korea, now Alaska, then Louisville.

That is probably your best bet. I expect these phones are hot potatoes for UPS and they will get it to you asap, hopefully before the dr appointment. I have a dr appointment too and worried about missing the phone but my wife will be here

Yeah, I'm doing the Will Call option. Have to play this extremely safe. Someone else mentioned about people putting menus in my door..yes I do get that, same shady guy always the same pizza joint! Way too hot of an item to just leave sitting there, not chancing anything. Thanks all!

That's correct, Worldport is the central air hub for UPS.
 
I just changed my delivery to will call. I signed up for MyChoice the other day, then clicked on "Change Delivery" from the tracking page. I had to sign in to MyChoice again from the pop up box. I chose pick up from customer service center (free). The next page gave me the address of the customer service center and had me confirm. So you are able to see where the package will be available for pickup before actually committing to the change. My delivery date stayed the same (9/24) right after, however a few minutes later, it now shows "Scheduled Delivery: Scheduled delivery information is not available at this time. Please check back later.". The confirm screen said 9/24 would be my pickup date, though.
