I see that the "UPS guy" that was here last night was wrong.

Not me, I warned people that some would be Tuesday and some Wednesday. This happens every year. Check the past threads. I've been repeating myself and 2 posts later people are ignoring what I said because it's more realistic.

Actually I wan't wrong. There are quite a few people that have their phones out for delivery today bud! I have no clue why Kentucky didn't process all of the phones. I was clearly stating the process in which the company follows. My phone is scheduled for Thursday delivery just like a lot of the others.

Wasn't too thrilled yesterday when people got bumped from Monday to today...now people getting bumped from today to tomorrow.

Not sure why anyone would be defending UPS at this point. They basically have two responsibilities for the entire company: #1 Deliver packages, #2 On Time.
Customs clearance ≠ controlled by UPS. Thank your government.

Because UPS can't control the Communist Chinese government and the US Census Bureau bureaucracies slowing them down. International shipments are subjected to thousands and thousands of pages of protectionist regulations that vary from country to country. This happens every year.

Since it's been over an hour since UPS49 left Incheon, is it safe to assume that no departure scan at this point means my phone didn't make it on?

I'm new to the forum. Phone is headed to the Shreveport, Louisiana area. Expected delivery is Friday.

4 Flights from Anchorage to Louisville last night.

People on the 1st flight which was much earlier than the rest (around 1 hr earlier) all got processed customs and out for delivery today. We have people reporting deliveries few pages back.

People on the other 3 flights all got stuck on customs because wasabi said the system was clogged due to the sheer volume of shipments.

Anyhow gonna get some breakfast and coffee and hope there's an import scan when I get back so I can go about my day in peace for a few hours until 4 pm. lol

Not you, his username was "tec somethingoranother"

he wasn't wrong ether, just trying to help us understand the process..the sheer amount of phones caused the system to collapse and not process every phone last night. I got one import scan on one of my packages..updated to tomorrow delivery. i am going to assume the other is getting its scan eventually and will be on the outbound UPS 1152 flight to Pittsburgh early tomorrow morning at 3 or 4 am

FLYINGWASABI-
You know I am right about almost everything I have stated in my posts. If everyones phone was processed correctly last night at WorldPort then all of them would be out for delivery today. Can you or I control this. No!!! I was just speaking from how the company usually runs on a daily basis. People need to stop hating on me for stuff I have no control over.

My phone is stuck in Ontario. Not sure why mine didn't go to the kentucky Hub as it is closer to me in Indiana. Why would they not send it to Kentucky?

I think the moral of the story is UPS should not speculate on delivery dates when they cant control certain situations (ie gov't bureaucracy, etc). They should take note from Apple and put "worst case scenario" delivery times/dates and not let the consumer down. When they use words like "expedited" and "express" it gives consumers false sense of speedy shipping irregardless of outside interventions...

Still waiting for my import scan...

Was scheduled for delivery yesterday. Looking like another delay again...sigh.

Louisville, KY, United States 09/23/2014 1:45 A.M. Arrival Scan
Anchorage, AK, United States 09/22/2014 4:19 P.M. Departure Scan

So then let's ship packages from China and give no dates whatsoever until it's on the delivery truck... Sounds like everyone would love that.........
