The more I think about UPS camping our 9/25 phones in KY just so they can deliver on 9/25 and not early the more angry I get. I'm serious when I say I will go out of my way never to use UPS again.

I've never seen UPS do it (other than for release days with special agreements)... I have had FedEx do it. Someone shipped something to me FedEx ground... obviously there were not enough packages going ground to make one of the trailer segments go... they tossed it on the air network... it showed up next-day here in Miami.... and then "delivery exception, the package will be held to the next buisness day" ... except that was the status for 2 days... then I changed it to pick up at FedEx... ready right away... the question was... was it purely business (ie we sell express at a premimum, thus we cant let a ground shipment get express speed), or was it "our customer expects it on X-day, so we will hold it to that day" .. *shrugs* ..

But I'm pretty sure Apple didnt single out "Bob's goes Saver, but Jill's goes Expdited" ... I'm sure they have paid for logstics in bulk and just told UPS "get them there by the 25th" and let UPS pick it based on workload and got a bulk rate discount for it. Not that UPS can't handle it... UPS Worldport can handle over 300,000 packages an hour with minimal staffing. I think it was designed for 500,000 something packages per hour if everything was running perfectly.

I am curious though what happens at the customs interface... I mean the usual operations in that building basically has 1 person unloading a shipping pod.... and then no one touches it again until it hits a loading station for the next flight. I am somewhat curious about that part of the operation. And how they satisfy the government on ensuring all importations go to the customs location... what kind of seperation is there.... a complete wing of gates for internation only? ...

meh.. anyhow.... 1:34am arrival, 9/25er from the beginning, ... no import yet, expedited.. have until like 3am for it to make it tomorrow.. but honestly as I've said, at this point Thursday is better than tomorrow.

Then don't do what that guy is doing and your phone won't bend.

Heading into work now to unload trucks. Unless I'm just here for fun.

Anyhow I said the majority would ship out by 5 pm and tons did already, it's just if yours didn't ship out your confirmation bias is ignoring all of those people. Anybody who is left after 7 pm EST there's a small chance of shipping out around 5 am, but that's a small chance. Please don't construe that as gospel. There's tons of phones coming in behind us so it's not like they're going to let them keep piling up. WorldPort can process almost half a million packages PER HOUR. Hoping for mine sooner rather than later, but plenty will have them tomorrow and the rest of us Thursday. :)

You know the process and thats helped tremendously, but when you started predicting that all the Thursday deliveries would be delivered on Wednesday is when you lost me. I just found that hard to believe, and your "guarantee" was far fetched from the beginning.

Now you are backtracking saying its small number of us, yet everyone who had a Thursday delivery is stuck in Louisville and not a single person got moved from Thursday to Wednesday.

I applaud you for coming in this thread and spreading your knowledge, but don't act like you can predict the future and belittle anyone who says otherwise.

Finally, people with NJ as final delivery address, you should have an arrival scan soon.

Shanghaied 9/25er here. Still no import or departure scan

#Team9/25 can pretty much give up for today. UPS is holding them on purpose.

HOPEFULLY those dolts get us our phones on schedule, Thursday. Starting to get worried about that because I'm going out of state Friday morning.

Wow my order was processed two days before yours and I'm still stuck in Incheon.

I was lucky enough to get express saver... I placed my order at 1:15am when the Apple Store app responded for me and got a reservation for the next morning because they couldn't reach AT&T. I wonder if that's what got me the faster shipping.

I also called to ask about upgrading my shipping method. She said she couldn't but who knows...

I didn't see any Boston flights so maybe CT?

It's not UPS, its Customs that is the hold up on most phones.

No, I don't believe that at ALL. Phones that arrived around the same time (perhaps even later) have gone through Customs and left KY. UPS hasn't scanned ours for customs. It's 100% on UPS IMHO.

Samesies!

I am still showing delivery tomorrow by end of the day but I know with customs that is a pipe dream.

It's not UPS, its Customs that is the hold up on most phones.

No way its customs, 9/25 orders were clearly placed to the side, will go through customs when UPS is ready to move them. Could be tonight or tomorrow. They are not sitting there waiting in a customs line.
