Oct. 1 to 6 2014 Delivery Date Orders (Update) Delivered earlier!

i was reading some horror stories about the average time people wait for customs to clear packages takes 2-6 days.. I hope they are wrong. WTF.:eek:
 
I see on Flight Aware that I can click on a link to see all of the UPS flights that are currently airborne in the US, but is there a link to see upcoming UPS flights scheduled?

Would like to see if there are any flights scheduled from Louisville to Ontario.

Well there is import duty on these... I believe, as its a bulk shipment over $2000 or there abouts .. but again that should have been baked into the logistics cost...

the other side theory I had, at least for those that got "Deep inspected" in China was that the chinese probably took the pallet apart, and reassembled it and then re-wrapped it with "security tape" ... maybe that didnt sit well with the incoming side inspectors...

but no... its pretty obvious the UPS broke down the pallets PRIOR to customs check... (at least for flights that arrived after 1amish) and sent through "Express" packages first... and is holding back the "Expedited" to deliver on their guaranteed date.. I mean the service description purely includes "Guaranteed delivery for peace of mind. The most economical option for less time-critical shipments. <b>Day-definite delivery lets you plan ahead.</b>"

What I can't understand is why before customs instead of after customs.. unless that is the only storage location (and the convenient "customs is keeping is down man" story)... whats going to be sad is the planes coming in tonight, watching them come in, import scan, and keep moving.. knowing sitting in a little box is a phone that has been hanging around much longer.

It's clear UPS is not "first-in-first-out".... and its also clear I have no reason to even be up... my phone wont be here for 2 more days... even though I could drive to KY and back in the time.
 
Any idea why mine hasn't updated in so long? This is maddening.

Customs for iPhone should be faster since they know that a bunch is coming in... like in the thousands... but the internet still says:

Usually 2 days to a week. Sometimes as quickly as 5 minutes. Anything longer and you may want to contact them in order to expedite the process. Delivery times can vary based on the the following.

Proximity to a major holiday
Incomplete invoice or packaging information on behalf of the sender
Duty to be collected
Package seized and opened for closer inspection

Lets hope they are wrong and Apple has some pull on this.

Estimated delivery Sept 24th by 3pm (originally the 23rd)
Last status - Louisville departure scan 342pm
Going to Omaha, about a 3.5 hour flight.

Will I see this tomorrow? I have no idea what's going on!
 
If mine gets pushed back until Thurs..and I fear it might. The I'd have contend with -what we call here - a "Nor'Easter" - Not major..not "Hurricane Sandy type of nonsense, but a big hassle. This time of year means a lot of rain and 30-40+mph winds. (Winter means 12-24+ inches of snow)

Still usually big delays at Philly International, which is considered normal anyway. WTH, it hasn't rained in weeks and this..c'mon!

since it has departed I would say you have a great chance.

From what I understand, once they go through customs they are immediately sorted, so if they didn't hold before customs, they would be sorted and on to the next destination. So they hold before.

There's a UPS flight leaving at 2:02 am edt for Chicago. I hope my phone makes it onto the flight...my phone has been stuck longer in Louisville than it took to ship it all the way from China!!
 
Just hit the ground in Louisville. Interesting to see if because I am marked as express saver if I breeze through customs and make it out tonight like my tracking shows for a tomorrow delivery.

Seriously feel bad for those who are in limbo, I was stuck in processing for a LONG time and every time I would check my CC to see if I had been charged or see if apple had updated me and there was nothing new I got a little more impatient each time.

Are you freggin kidding me? Yeah tomorrow is a Jewish holiday, but I don't know..that's a little overboard I think? If my box is open, iphone rattling around and i see any nicks, the smallest scratch. The wrath will be unleashed...for all the good that might do. Well I'' demand another iPhone and wait 3 months.

He will. The workers at the sorting facility are probably taking our phones out of the packaging and playing with them, tossing them around, and putting nude photos into iCloud so somebody will hack the account and expose them to the public.

And I would not blame you. But don't blame me I got it off the internet. Like they say everything you read on the internet is true right? yeah right or is it everything you read on the internet must be correct right? Still doubtful up to a point. :eek:
