Oct. 1 to 6 2014 Delivery Date Orders (Update) Delivered earlier!

Shhhhhh I guess (HOPE) my 2 phones and case get on either flight to philly or to Newark about 3 am...... This waiting REALLY SUCKS UPS.....

Pretty great that my phone has been in Kentucky for 24hrs with no import scan. Other people have been there for 24 minutes and have import scans and are being sorted. Great Job Ups! I'm glad I work there.

And there goes the 24 hour mark... couple more hours and the normal overnight flight out will leave to be here... 100% sure my phone wont be on it... I dont expect my phone to move at this point until Thursday... "expedited" .... oh well.... better than the 6th... but still annoying considering the fail that was preorder night... anyhow.. night all.

Why do they function in this manner? Wouldn't they want to get the packages in and out asap? What's holding our phones back versus the ones just now arriving to their facility? Just curious.

Yes enquiring minds would like to know.

Sorry don't know how to break this to you, you probably gonna get yours on Thursday or Friday

That's what it appears to be happening. :(

Delivery date, some are shipped 1-2 day(saver), some are 2-5 day(expedited) for no real reason.

Does anybody see any flights to Portland early this morning (unlikely) or anytime tomorrow? I'm not sure I could find any...

I asked my supervisor why my package was being held for so long at WorldPort. His explanation was that it is a Worldwide Expedited service level and Ups considers that as the equivalent of a 2nd day Air. When my clerk pulled up my tracking it says its equivalent of a ground package for some places. I am in Florida so I was told that it will be scanned in the morning and placed on a trailer to Tennessee. After it arrives to Tennessee it will be scanned and driven to the Orlando hub. Delivered on Thursday. I actually couldn't believe it. The way it is going it makes sense.

For those Houston people (like me) there are now two flights out of Louisville in the early morning:

UPS772 scheduled to depart 3:10am EDT (2:10am CDT)

UPS774 scheduled to depart 4:39am EDT (3:39am CDT)

I'm still not convinced mine will arrived tomorrow, despite delivery dates of Monday, then Tuesday, and now Wednesday. It did finally leave Louisville...then to South Charleston WV, now it's in Roanoke, VA. I'm near Charlottesville VA. It hasn't left Roanoke yet. I guess after Louisville they really put this thing on the slow boat...

Geez, so we who are expedited are 2nd day air...classification? That sucks. How did Apple decide who got what shipping rates. That is sure strange. But I waited this long , as long as it comes Thursday I will still be ok with it. But it would be nice for tomorrow of course.

Yeah I am pretty pissed that Apple pulled this with the different service levels without a choice to upgrade.

I still have 2 hour window that i can receive a import scan and departure scan and still get it tomorrow. After 2 hours from now then it will be Thursday for sure as the soonest i would get my 2 iPhones.

The 25 th is my date I don't c it getting here no day early mine still in Louisville won't ship out till marrow to get here on Thursday just change my order to pick up at ups facility so I don't got to wait all day for ups man to get here I can just go at 9am to pick it up better than oct1-6 date can't complain, rite?

I was barely able to place an order at 3:43 am (eastern time zone). So yesterday I called UPS and asked why my order was stuck in China for 3 days. UPS told me that Apple chose a slower shipping method, and it's still scheduled to be on time (9/25).

So I called Apple and asked, why did you guys select a slower shipping method for me? They told me that expedited shipping is not available for preorders, only standard shipping. I asked why my phone was stuck in China for 3 days and then stuck in Louisville overnight without moving. (It still hasn't been imported 24 hours later). The apple representative told me that I was originally quoted a delivery dated of 10/1 - 10/6 so I should be happy that it's scheduled for an earlier delivery.

I said that I had trouble placing the order and was barely able to place the order after 43 minutes of trying. I expected to have a release date delivery. She said that the carriers needed to give approval (confirm eligibility) and that was also slowing down preorders. I told her that the carriers had nothing to do with Apple's website not working. She told me that there was no promised time for when preordering would start.

Makes me wonder if I want to give Apple my money, just on the principle of it. Apple does some incredible engineering, but this process is really sucking the joy out getting a beautiful new phone. Sure, the iPhone 6 is a better phone than my iPhone 5, but my purchase (128 gb 6+) is mainly out of desire and not need.

That desire is rapidly turning into disgust, and any thoughts I had about purchasing an apple watch are quickly dissipating.

So are my thoughts reasonable, or do I sound like I'm spoiled and whining?

24 hours later and my phone is still sitting an hours drive from my house, heh. Here's hoping for Thursday (though it could still get to me today, I doubt it).
