my phone has finally been released from being held hostage in ontario! WOOT!

my red case is out for delivery!

hubby's black case is out for delivery!

my hot pink phantomskinz is out for delivery!

it's CHRISTMAS IN SEPTEMBER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's what I thought about my blue case yesterday. I just finished filing the 'lost package' report online since no one seems to know why my case went from "On vehicle for Delivery" yesterday to "In Transit" today.

lol salvation for us socal folks! gotta run over to ups on my lunch break. :)

I confused myself a bit. The screenshot I posted with the Exemption is for my 6+ Case, not my 6+. My 6+ is still on the 1:56 AM Louisville "Stuck and not yet imported" status like the rest of us.

Maddening.

I have not received one single notification from UPS during this entire long strange trip - I am signed up to receive emails AND texts - I have received exactly NOTHING.
Not to say you won't receive notice - I just saw an opportunity to vent about that - sorry.

Same here. Not one text. Not one email. BRAVO, UPS, BRAVO!

:apple:

It will, I know that now. We are being treated like 2nd day air or lower priority than the Air Saver people. Its a bit unfair that Apple has chosen to give Air Saver(overnight service) to some select individuals and expedited (2nd day air ) to others. :(

I don't think it was Apple. I think UPS categorized them to stack them up in a certain way through the process.

The process was backlogged as it was. I can't image what it would have been like if the 9/22-9/25 dates were all due on the same day.

Worldport is entirely automated. There were no real additional labor costs. The camera-based conveyers just shunted the iPhones someplace else. Maybe there was a cost putting them in a container, but it's not like someone was reading the labels and tossing them aside.

I can't imagine that all the fork lift operators and those responsible for moving, unpacking pallets, etc are robots.

The only time a human touches the carton is when it comes off the plane and gets packed onto the next one.

In this case, there was likely two additional steps: the conveyer routed the 9/15 phones to a different place and they may have been taken off the belt. Or, they just got dumped into a hamper.

Until it shows up on mine, it never happened!

Do my eyes deceive me or have 9/25'ers in this thread started seeing Import Scans?

Just to add fuel to the fire....my leather case just shipped with delivery for Friday. LMAO!

Are you implying that my phone has been circling the 155 miles of convoyer belts for a day and a half... despite the massiveness of the system, that seems very unliekly... yes worldport is HIGHLY automated... but given the number of orders, someone has to move them off the line.. yes the conveyor will dump it off at an outflow station "for holds".. but its not like that outflow station can pile up on its own and make its way back on its own (unless there is something beyond what is shown in all the videos of the place) .. someone has to tend to the hamper or whatever is collecting the 'hold me' packages .. then later someone has to move them back to the line... and it takes up warehouse space, space that could be used for other things... all of those have costs... granted we are talking a few cents a package... but it still is more than having a guy/girl unload the pod to the belt.. belt runs it to customs.. runs through the maze, to another guy/girl who puts it back on a pod to leave.
