Changed mine to will call pick up near my house tomorrow am. During the chat, she noted that I will be able to pick it up on my scheduled delivery date at that location, but that I will not be able to pick it up any earlier.

I didn't dwell on that line from her, but sounded odd.

I did the same thing since UPS lost my case that was supposedly out for delivery yesterday. Seems safer this way.

As for not picking up early, that makes sense to me. They ofter unpack the trucks overnight when the offices are closed anyway.

I got the same information yesterday - you can pick up ON your delivery date, you cannot pick up before that - even if your phone arrives to the sort facility today. that's a bad rule in my book.

Here you go guys. Size is perfect for me. I have actually had a bigger phone for a short time (nokia 1520).

Loving the phone and it's screen. Really like the space grey as well.

Nice!! I'm leaving in a few minutes to pick up mine - originally I was going to do this later 4:30pm..but the traffic around that area, not in the mood to fight that. Slowa** work day, so I'm outta here...then to my doc appt. Then home! Way too psyched!

I have not received one single notification from UPS during this entire long strange trip - I am signed up to receive emails AND texts - I have received exactly NOTHING.
Not to say you won't receive notice - I just saw an opportunity to vent about that - sorry.

I share the same scepticism
However, I did receive an email at 12:10 am from UPS this morning notifying me that I will receive my iPhone 6 plus tomorrow -- 9/25 -- by end of day.
We will see

Are you implying that my phone has been circling the 155 miles of convoyer belts for a day and a half... despite the massiveness of the system, that seems very unliekly... yes worldport is HIGHLY automated... but given the number of orders, someone has to move them off the line.. yes the conveyor will dump it off at an outflow station "for holds".. but its not like that outflow station can pile up on its own and make its way back on its own (unless there is something beyond what is shown in all the videos of the place) .. someone has to tend to the hamper or whatever is collecting the 'hold me' packages .. then later someone has to move them back to the line... and it takes up warehouse space, space that could be used for other things... all of those have costs... granted we are talking a few cents a package... but it still is more than having a guy/girl unload the pod to the belt.. belt runs it to customs.. runs through the maze, to another guy/girl who puts it back on a pod to leave.

This is my theory. Again it's a theory.

The 9/25 packages never left the container they came from China on. Instead, they all got put to a holding area as-is. Maybe even the area they stored all the 9/19 iPhones that they were holding last week.

Yeah same here. I have not received anything automated. Whenever I "signed up" it sent me a text but nothing else.

Apple did send me a text this morning telling my phone was out for delivery though!

Nothing on my two phones yet:
