Oct. 1 to 6 2014 Delivery Date Orders (Update) Delivered earlier!

Update on my situation:

I placed my order around 5am CST the 12th through Apple.com. I called Monday to change my shipping address, and I also asked about expedited shipping. They were able to give me expedited shipping which changed my shipping dates from Oct. 1st - Oct. 6th to Sep. 25th - Sep. 30th.

I checked my order this morning and my dates have changed to Sep. 29th - Oct. 2nd. I called Apple to see why my dates changed. I was told that because I called in Monday to change my Shipping Address they had to physically change my packaging info since it had been previously packaged and was waiting to ship out.

He also told me that even though I changed my shipping address, they will have to make one attempt to deliver to my billing address. Once they make the one attempt, the carrier will then deliver to my updated shipping address. He said that this was another reason why my delivery date was bumped to Sep. 29th - Oct. 2nd.

I would rather pick it up at the carriers office, rather then having them try shipping it to my billing address and taking a few extra days! Looks like I will have to call either Fedex or UPS once I get my shipping info to have them hold it at their office.

I don't. I remember that Apple had a similar issue with the 5 when I preordered. Even after getting up my delivery time was quoted as a week or two after.

Getting in line was never a serious consideration. I ordered the phone I wanted, and it will show up over the next two weeks.

There are plenty of other ways life has screwed me without worrying about a phone.

I had a similar situation with my 5, and incredibly wound up getting a delivery a day before the launch day.
 
I just got charged too. Still "Processing"

Hopefully, they will come early and not via the slow boat.

Same here, I just got a AMEX alert for a large purchase. Looks like they charged me for the phone.

I'd bet we will see the site update later today or tomorrow, when I ordered a rMBP it was a few hours after they charged me when the online status changed.

Ordered around 4:50am CT ... Preparing for shipment and charged!

When do you guys think we will get this? Out of town starting 25th so I am really really hoping to receive it before then..
 
Just checked my Amex, was just charged today, the 18th. I wouldn't be surprised if they ship tomorrow or Monday with Tue-Wed delivery. Just a guess, but Apple won't charge until the items are about to ship.
 
Took a few mins after i was charged but now preparing for shipment. No luck trying to find tracking number using reference.
 
Yup, my AMEX just got fully charged!! It was pending before for $1.00, that dropped yesterday and now its a hard post to my account!! That's good movement towards shipping IMHO...
 
Strange :/ I just checked my bank and they haven't taken the payment at all, the £700 that they took away in my available funds isn't there anymore (it's back to how it was).

Kind of worried, I tried ordering a case a couple of days ago and it wouldn't take my card details, I hope they don't cancel my order. :confused:
 
After no movement in my account page, I was just charged right now. 6+ TMO 128, ordered at 220am PST from apple.com
 
I'm coming out of lurkdom!!

I ordered a 128gb Gold 6 Plus on Friday about 6:00 am CST, thru Apples site, for a Sprint phone and AppleCare+

I just checked, and there is a pending charge on my credit card for the full amount now!!! Apple's status hasn't changed yet, but exciting to see something happening there!
 
My card just got charged too!!!! Still shows processing items. Perfect timing for Apple. So all of us in the 7-10 day period don't have to now go wait in long lines on Friday morning.
